I had high hopes for Fox Raven. The lovely countryside atmosphere, welcoming coziness of the interior, and varied menu all appeared to be very promising.

Did a last minute booking and cant fault them at all. Food, service and atmosphere was excellent. Our waiter James was attentive but not intrusive. Would definately be returning

The price of £35 per person without starters was deemed too high for a mediocre meal. Two out of the four dishes ordered had to be sent back as the meat was served cold. The rice was reheated afterwards... Ver carta

Regrettably, on the bank holiday Monday, there were only 1 to 2 staff members working at the bar of this charming pub with beautiful views and a garden. They appeared to lack a sense of urgency and were not providing proper service, which was disappointing.

The food is average and the menu is lacking in choice. But it is a nice atmosphere to eat in. Not a good place for having a drink with friends. Too much of the seating is settees and armchairs which ensure you have to talk a little too loud for a quiet conversation.

We booked a table for 8 people for Sunday lunch at 1pm. After ordering drinks at the table, we then ordered starters and mains. The starters arrived at 2pm. This seems an unreasonably long time to wait. Couldn’t fault the food or the waiting staff but slow service will make me consider whether to return or not. Ver carta
