Fantastic takeaway place! We ordered the Haddock and Chips and the portions were generous, cooked just right. We're only visiting for a short time, but we definitely plan to return.

After seeing the bad reviews for the chippy in Newton Stewart we searched online and found this gem. Cooked fresh to order and a lovely location to boot. The harbour is a great place to eat the food afterwards with views of the nature reserve and benches. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner

Most soggy Fish and Chips we have ever had. We used this place last year whilst on holiday and it was good, so came back this year, ABSOLUTELY AWFUL, never again. I note the average stars for this chippy is 4.4. I must have gone on a bad day. Bought chips and curry sauce, and donner meat chips. I think they mixed up the donner meat and chips. The donner meat was over cooked and the chips were part cooked. The only edible thing was the curry sauce. Service was good, but the time taken to cook food was long. Price per person: £10–20

Day 2 of our family holiday has to be F&C. This place is a hidden gem. There are not enough reviews about this place. Absolutely fantastic fish and chips. I recently ordered takeout for dinner and had an excellent experience! The food was outstanding, earning a perfect rating of 5 stars. The fish and chips were delicious, and the chips were simply amazing. The service was equally impressive, with friendly staff ensuring my order was ready promptly. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant, even though I was dining at home, was delightful.
