"This is one of Forfar's secret gems ... The staff are friendly, the food is consistently of the highest quality ... Everyone you speak to attests to the first class amenity that the Castle Club most certainly is ... We use this place frequently ... though not as often as we might like. If you are able to walk up fairly steep stairs for your sustenance, this is the diner for you We had the privilege to be back after a long time in the dining area of The Castle Club in Forfar last night.. It was as if the lockdown had never happened despite the usual post Covid arrangements. Every single thing was up to scratch and Bristol fashion and the food itself, as always was, proved that a recovery from a short era of being out of the game need not mean a decline in standards. The place has had a gentle lift, decor-wise, and the only thing that ever put people off coming here is the steep climb up those entry stairs. How about a stair lift? Full marks though for the return to normality."

"We really wanted this to be a good night out, with friends up for the weekend, however,, we waited 15 minutes etes for our drinks, then they said they had run out of the cocktails my wife and Gail ordered, this is at 6.30pm, and we were the only table of four in the restaurant, there were 6 tables full outside...?, we placed our order for food, from a very bored looking waitress, it took 50 minutes for the food to land, sadly, it was average at best. Poor training of staff who were more interested in their phones behind the bar than serving, no flare in the desire to create interesting food. Won't be going back"

"I went to the Osnaburg for a bite to eat with a friend last week...what a transformation!.The bar has been refurbished in the last month by the owners and now offers food. There is also an excellent range of drinks on offer including Cask Ales and Craft Beer. We had a light lunch Steak Sandwich for me and Jacket Potato for the Mrs...perfect and a good price too...a pint of Jarl for me and a pleasant white wine for the wife all good and under £20. I would recommend to all if you are in Forfar anytime soon. The bar is also very female friendly now and very light and airy. There is a disabled toilet and baby changing facilities too. Families are welcome I noted which isn't always the case up here. 10/10 from us!."

"Just home from a super Friday night family meal. Amazing pizza, truly authentic Italian style, fabulous lasagne, excellent pastries. Lovely service from lovely girls, and a very happy chef. Very reasonable and enjoyable night out for a family of four, awesome Italian food all in Forfar. And they do takeaway Mr C has a fab panzerotti for lunch tomorrow! Can't wait to go back"

"By a country mile thee worst Indian restaurant I've ever eaten in. In my life myself and my colleague where up working from home and thought it looked OK. Couldn't have been more wrong. Starter veg pakora. I've had better from the supermarket . Samosa was like something from a supermarket. Lamb in the bhuna was OK was soft enough not to bad. The bhuna waw!! What a, disgrace zero flavour 1 cherry tomato in it. Was horrible. Not even as close to being as good as supermarket quality. Chapattis where pre-bought not cooked fresh at all. Again had defo waves of supermarket bought. Save your money go to the shop buy a set Indian meal for 2 and a. Can guarentee you it will be better than this place."
