Great place for enjoying a beer festival and a delicious burger!

Hand down the best pub food I have ever had! So much love and care put into the presentation and flavours, could not recommend this pub enough, friendly helpful staff!

We ate here again on Saturday evening. The welcome was very warm and the beer well kept. The food was excellent. It was good before but now it is superb. A lovely local pub and very dog friendly.

good selection of beer and a friendly atmosphere. beer garden is pleasant on a warm day. definitiw preferred for a stop on the north down to the jolly farmer a few hundred meters further. only at the bottom is lacking simple parking, but no problem walking.

A centuries old pub with delightful new management and clearly a great chef. My friend and I stopped here for lunch on a Saturday and enjoyed lamb shank and beef stew. They have Atlantic IPA on tap which was superb as well as Timothy Taylor for those who prefer ale. Food, drinks, service, ambiance all perfect. Highly recommended.

We dined here in the evening after taking a stroll through Puttenham Commons, and the ribs we ordered were among the best pub dishes we've ever had! The atmosphere is lovely, with a great selection of beers, and it's dog-friendly, which is an added bonus. We specifically made the trip this weekend for the ribs, but unfortunately, they were off the menu. We hope they'll return soon!

Sunday Review: I often find pub roasts to be disappointing because I have very high standards, but this one was on par with the Sunday roast at The Carpenters Arms in Sunninghill. While it had a slightly different twist, it was excellent overall. The generous portions of lamb and the mixed roast were juicy and tender! Everything else was delightful as well. Additionally, the beer and drink selection appeared to be quite good!

Stopped for lunch here after a lovely walk around Puttenham and Shackleford today. Me and my husband had a smoked salmon sandwich and wow what a sandwich!! A great doorstep sandwich made from a delicious granary style bread and absolutely packed with fresh smoked salmon. A pile of crisps and salad on the side. My daughter chose the cajun chicken burger which she said was the best chicken burger she had ever had!! Excellent food and a warm welcome, would highly recommend.

The menu may not have been very diverse, but the presentation of the food was stunning. We opted for a light dinner, and the pâté we ordered was delightful, accompanied by beautifully shaped chips. The restaurant has ample space, making it convenient for families with children, as there are quieter areas to sit if the kids get a bit loud. The woman who served us was attentive without being intrusive. When we visited again in June 2022, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The bartender appeared somewhat shy but was efficient in serving drinks. It was also lovely to see the beautiful decorations celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
