The Greene Man Hungry Horse Pub

Came in for a drink, food smelt amazing so we ordered. Hallumi fries, Korean burger, mix it up, side of mac n cheese! Beautiful!! Thank you to Pete Tom the chefs and to Jordan and Jamie who served us...Great bank holiday dinner. Very happy

I visited the pub for much I had a lovely meal considering there was 5 of us and the restaurant was quite busy our server Jamie went above and beyond to make sure we was seen too and our table was cleared before desserts will definitely visit again.

We had a lovely evening at the Greene Man. The food was great, but the main reason why we'll be returning very soon is the staff. They went above and beyond, they were great with the kids and they couldn't have made us feel more welcome. Highly recommended!!!! Ver carta

A great pub/ restaurant with fantastic staff. As a family we go every Tuesday to the quiz night. The staff and landlady Jen are brilliant, friendly and efficient. The food is good quality and reasonably priced. There are regular quiz teams and we all get along creating a fun evening Definitely give it a try if you are in the area.

On a freezing cold Saturday the heating didn’t work. Not only that the lady behind the bar didn’t put a smile on her face the whole time we were there. Asked for medium steak but when it came out it was still mooing and the chicken was as rubbery as a dog chew toy. Also the baby change was broke so had to change a baby on the seat in front of everyone on the freezing cold would really not recommend specially if you want to go out with all your fingers and toes in this cold weather

This pub is defined by great value for money food and the excellent friendly welcome great service from Jenny her team always makes the experience of eating here a pleasurable one. This is the first time I have put a second review of the same place on Tripadvisor and my reason for doing so is because this team’s efforts warrant the praise and thanks they so richly deserve! If the brewery were to run a pub team of the year award then this team would definitely be our winner. The full English breakfast is always of great quality and we along with a number of our friends are now regular visitors here. Highly recommended Ver carta

I need to tell about my terrible experience we all had Saturday 22nd July 2023. My friend arranged for family and friends to meet for her son's birthday anniversary memorial but unfortunately the handling and presence of the security made this very intolerable.apparently they thought some our group were suppose to be dealing in drugs and when the male members of our group went to the toilet they were actually followed by these so called security people.then some of our friends who I may add we haven't seen in a while left as this made them feel very uncomfortable I feel this needs to be addressed asap.so we definitely will not be returning

Disgusting staff who are clearly racist and do not want to be there zero customer service I come here a lot but have come to realise it depends who I come with as to how I’m treated when with my white friend staff are friendly helpful polite when I come with anyone else even trying g to order food seems as though I’m putting them out the guy with the ponytail and glassses and girl with shaved head are the worst of them all so rude make me feel like I’m a total inconvenience to them! I will now only eat here with the one friend that gets treated fairly anyone else we will be going elsewhere to eat! Foods ok atmosphere are good shame the staff let it down

I normally really like the food at the Greene man. Decent value, decent food. It was a normal Tuesday night, pub quiz, pub food, no dramas. After our meal, me and the missus decided to order dessert. This is where things took a turn…. We ordered the ‘Ultimate Big Candymania’. For those who don’t know, it’s basically an ice cream sundae, with chocolate bites, cookie dough bits, cream, chocolate sauce (the works, it’s as good as it sounds). However, what we were served was something bizarre. When the waiter served us, he brought us a tub of ice cream. Like, a tescos tub of ice cream. Still in the tub!
