Had a filling and tasty lunch plus drinks. Very friendly staff. Busy but able to get a table in dining room, even though we hadn't booked. Highly recommend

Excellent food and service. Good choice of gluten free options though slightly more limited on desserts. Highly recommend the pies. Burgers are very nice but very huge!

I had something that I was missing and the barman said that it was just sorted out that eating was nice when my mother ever came with me, she hasn't been there for years. the personal was beautiful, because they'll keep up the good one! Ver carta

Charming traditional pub with fantastic food. They offer a wide range of options, from small snacks to generous platters and delicious Sunday roasts. I will definitely be coming back for a Sunday lunch followed by a stroll along the canal.

Friendly, homely and welcoming. A nice full menu, complimented by a good selection of beers, wines and spirits. Food was cooked to perfection and service spot on. Couldn 't fault it and would highly recommend booking a table (although they do 'walk-ins ' if you want to sit outide/under the canopy).

We had King Prawns and Garlic Mushrooms to start, sizzling hot and really tasty! Chicken Leek Pie with potato gratin and Chicken Supreme for main both piping hot and delicious. Nice pub, by the water, there is outdoor space covered and quite warm for colder days, the outside has a view to water. The barcode scanning at the tables did not work and we ordered at the bar. Took a bit of time to get served honestly. We went with supreme chicken and fish and chips which both were fine. wuite large portion which matches the price.

I had a great experience at this restaurant. The service was excellent, and the staff genuinely cared about their guests. Everyone in my group enjoyed their meals. While the beef lasagna could have been better—I'm not quite sure why it didn't match the quality of the other dishes—we still had a wonderful time. It's worth mentioning that the meat is sourced from a local butcher known for its high quality, which certainly showed in the burgers, gammon, steaks, and sausages. The tables were slightly too small for comfort, but that wouldn’t deter me from returning. Give it a try; I think you’ll enjoy it!

from cornwall to visit related, we were taken to this beautiful pub to lunch. had a private dining room booked above, with view of the canal. eating was delicious and plentiful. good choice of veggie options also. not the usual veg lasagna or microwave risotto that many pubs offer. the personal was very nice. I have seen another review where someone was whispered over the waiter, dressed casually. personally, and I think this applies to most reasonable thanked people, I could not less wear what the employees wear as long as they are helpful and nice what they were most safe. everything was clean and fresh. the journey there has not prepared us for what we have found. a hidden gem in the midd...
