The Gurkha's Flavour

I've tried a lot of different Indian take aways before and this is by far my favourite. I've ordered many take aways from here and each and every time the food is flawless. Looking forward to my next meal from gurkhas flavour!

I used to really enjoy this place. However, it seems that there have been some changes in ownership recently, as both the menu and staff are different now. The food was bland, the choices were ordinary, and the service was terrible and very slow. Even the house wine tasted like it was made from diluted grape juice. I definitely won't be returning.

I had a groupon voucher to visit this restaurant and I was not let down. The food was delicious and the service was great. However, the restaurant is not always very busy, so at times it feels like you are sitting in someone's living room and need to keep your voice down. Despite this, I have been back a few times and if you can overlook that, you will have a delicious evening out. Ver carta

This is the best Indian restaurant in South East London. It is affordable and offers delicious freshly cooked Nepalese dishes. The service can be slow due to the busy takeaway business, but the wait is worth it for the tasty food. The decor may not be fancy, but the restaurant offers great food at a reasonable price. It is much better than many more expensive restaurants in the area.

I used to use this restaurant a lot, but went back for the first time in over a year for a takeaway. This used to be a superb restaurant in terms of food quality, the curries being freshly cooked using fresh spices. The Dhansak I had was oily and lacking in flavour. I asked for it vindaloo hot, but I might as well not have bothered. I can only assume it has changed ownership as I am sure the previous owner would not have let the food quality go downhill so badly I will not bother returning again.

I visited The Gurkha's Flavour last night and was initially concerned because it was very quiet. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food we ordered. We enjoyed the Vegetable Momo starter, which was filled with tasty steamed vegetable dumplings. Our main course included Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Makhani, vegetable rice, Garlic Naan, and a side of Bindi, all of which tasted amazing. I finished every last bite on my plate. Tonight, I ordered a meal from a restaurant using Just Eat. On the menu, the Tandoori Mixed Platter was supposed to come with a naan bread. However, when the food arrived, there was no naan bread included. After calling the restaurant, they informed us that they no longer include a naan with the platter. We had to argue with them, pointing out that the receipt clearly stated that the dish came with a naan bread. Eventually, they agreed to give us a naan bread with our next order. However, I was not satisfied with this resolution. A rather unhelpful delivery driver showed up with a naan bread half an hour later, without offering any apology. The food is really good special mention to a mushroom starter and fish main, and beautiful plain naan. The menu includes Nepalese dishes not usually seen on the menu 's of London 's many Asian restaurants. The restaurant itself is tiny, and I can imagine a good atmosphere when it 's busy; despite being told it was fully booked most times I called, both times I visited we were the only diners there. The decor is pretty old fashioned no problem there. And I like the pictures my friend tells me Nepalese establishments in India have the same. The waiter was friendly. So where do I begin.... I thought I 'd try this establishment again after having a good ish experience, this time As a take away. Please understand I live 2 roads away from this restaurant and waited an hour and 5 minutes for my food! Whilst on the phone to an incompetent manager the food was received and was STONE cold! The excuse was given to me from the manager that yes it is only 25 minutes late what is the big problem which I brought to his attention that it was NOT 25 minutes late as I was told 30 minutes remember 1hour 5minutes!
