Booked a table for Sunday lunch, when we got there it was freezing in there, one end had a lovely fire but not ours !! Sorry but too cold for us to eat in there

Came for a family meal and was not disappointed the new manageress Joey was great and very friendly knowledgeable.. the pints where good and food excellent will deffo return in the future

Niped I’m on our way to visit family, the Food was amazing as always, I had the full English perfect sausage!! and service was lovely thankyou joey you was attentive without being over powering which is what’s needed. Will 100% return in the future Ver carta

In all honesty, the food at this restaurant is usually quite good, but tonight most of our dishes were overcooked. Some of the steaks were tough like leather, the hunters chicken was burnt to a crisp, and the onion rings were burnt to a crisp and had the texture of charcoal. On top of that, half of the menu items were not available, which made for a disappointing experience.

Went for lunch, placed our order and drinks, drinks arrived ..dirty glasses ! was not a busy time but meals took 40 mins. A box was bought over with cutlery/ condiments...cutlery dirty still had food on, salt and pepper pots had rust on, salt was damp would not Sprinkle, food not nice, the place needs a good clean and tidy, and definitely needs decorating, paint bubbling on walls toilets walls scruffy ..staff miserable, .Embers pubs used to be nice...Will not be returning

Our experience at the restaurant was disappointing. We upgraded to the afternoon cocktail brunch, arriving 10 minutes late due to 'mum life'. Despite the empty pub, we were told we had exceeded our 2-hour time limit for brunch. Even though we ordered our last round of drinks within the allotted time, we were refused service and had to leave. We ended up spending the rest of the afternoon at another pub. It's a shame because we would have stayed and spent more money if we had been allowed to finish our last round. We won't be booking bottomless brunch here again. Ver carta

The pub was freezing, with the heating still not working, and customers were all sitting in their coats. The fire in the bottom room was on, but when we asked for the fire in the top room to be lit, we were informed that it was also not working. Before looking at the menu, I inquired about which dishes were unavailable, as it is frustrating to choose only to find out your selection is not available. We made our choices from the menu, placed our order at the bar, only to be told that our selections were unavailable despite being given no indication of this just five minutes earlier. We went for 'Sunday lunch 'with the family , 6 out of the 9 wanted Sunday roast to be told there wasn 't enough for us, they could do 6 but then were told 3 was going to someone else, apparently they had been sending meals out with Huber!! Really bad when they have people booked in. 3 had steak that was terrible, very grisly, seabass was like rubber and all chips cold.. to top it off the meals weren 't brought out at the same time. We ordered 5 desserts which were ok however again brought at different times, first one had eaten before the last 2 were brought out. Everything was poor, no apology what so ever even when we were asked if everything was ok, wouldn 't recommend and wouldn 't go ag...

Turned up today (Wednesday lunch) and found a table free although it was busy. We tried to order through the app on the table but this failed before paying. We then tried to order at the bar however there was only one member of staff behind the bar and generally 4 groups of people trying to be served. Finally on getting to a point of order, some 20 minutes after arriving, we were told there was a min 50 minutes wait for food! It looked likely to be longer as we had only seen two staff bringing food out. Really. If that how you think you can treat and serve customers then you have it very badly wrong.
