Lovely Food Staff Atmosphere Really enjoyed our time in the Hole

Called in on holiday as in CAMRA Good Beer Guide 50th and therefore beer was as expected

So we heard about the place through Google review, l have to say full of charactor. Food was tasty, reasonable despite arriving after the kitchen closed for lunch trade, chef was still busy an said no problem it did not dissapoint. The atmosphere and character of the oub and its customers speak for itself. Would visit again without doubt.

We went early evening on a wet Monday. We were after good, traditional pub food and it exceeded our expectations, the fish chips were delicious, crispy batter and the steak ale pie was the best my husband had ever had (and he thought he'd had good before! 100% recommend, service was quick and everyone was very friendly. If only we lived closer.

Quaint pub and restaurant not far from Torquay shopping district and harbour. If you're looking for a traditional old-world pub then this is the place to be. Low beamed ceilings and a very old-world atmosphere. This pub is tucked away behind the main drag close to the shopping area and just up the hill from the bustling harbour. We wanted food at lunch time as we'd heard how good their restaurant was, but the restaurant wasn't open at lunch time. They did offer a selection of pub meals and these were really high quality, battered chunky cod perfectly cooked, tasty home cooked ham and perfect garlic muscles.
