Doing a road trip, so I had no idea we had to book a table. The place was Empty and yet they said they couldn’t take us without a reservation.

Tracey gave us excellent service as usual, despite being extremely busy. The chef made a mistake with our steaks, but it was resolved in the form of a discount on the final bill.

Always good food here. Had a particularly good rump steak as part of a mixed grill. Our waitress Gemma was bright and cheerful and there when we needed her. Always good value, even better when you have over of their many discount vouchers !

On Saturday 7th of May I celebrated my 80th at the hut. I want to commend Mike and the team for their hospitality and impeccable service. The attend to detail was first class and we were presented with an excellent selection of food and drinks...(I must say, the portions were also incredibly generous). I would highly recommend the hut to anyone looking for a relaxing and well organised function. I can’t thank Mike and his team enough! You have made an old boy happy on his special day! Nigel

As always good service by the friendly waiting staff. Unfortunately none of the cut of steak we wanted (this is the same as last 5 times we’ve been) also no king prawns for the surf n turf. Chose a different steak and it wasn’t good,...overcooked, minimal chips, the burger was on the other hand very good, as was the cookie dough dessert. What mostly put us off was the people behind us changing their babies nappy at the table, the kids changing into their pjs and then brushing their teeth using a jug of water on the table. Weird!

Been drinking and eating in the hut for many years, but you need to seriously think about dropping your prices especially on drinks..they have gone up so much in the last year! Your locals and others are going else where because of this,also I've noticed...the food is a lot smaller portions and the price is a lot dearer! When you get bigger and cheaper meals around Chandler's Ford and other areas you are basically shooting yourself in the foot! The bar staff are all decent and friendly enough, so whitbread bosses need to start doing something quick or you will end up losing them! And more customers.. So whitbread and the management do something before it's to late!

30th birthday for my niece so table of 12. A 6 year old with a Nut Allergy and they basically said we cannot guarantee no cross contamination and all our food is bought in and may contain nuts! Wouldn't even look at packaging or make...a single effort to help which then proceeded to make the 6 year burst into tears and say I want to go home! And still no help was offered to us, so my daughter ordered a takeaway from somewhere that does offer food to Allergy sufferers had it delivered to the restaurant and he sat and ate that in their restaurant!! Absolutely disgusted and definately will not be returning. Just to add food was not good we refused to pay for some of it.....I mean loaded nachos...

Last minute visit as couldn’t get into our usual places. Looks a bit run down from the outside but pretty decent looking on the inside with open kitchen and nice seating and decor. Menu was as expected although roasts were all sold out and then...the pie and chicken wings were also sold out. We went for fish and chips which we couldn’t fault. It was tasty and fresh and although not huge portions was probably just enough for us. I understand they say they have trouble sourcing certain ingredients but I’m sure they could order in more meat and vegetables for the roasts as other restaurants don’t seem to have these issues and it wasn’t even 3pm when we visited. visit today at 14:30 o'clock 29/05/2022. there are 4 adult and 2 children with us, I think we sat on the table 20. positive 1.staff was draughtable 2.Seated fast 3.Drinks order was taken quickly 4.Drinks choice was quiet good 5. some of the ditches were. quietly beautiful salmon/burger and the steak that was cooked to our relaxing negative 1 . Sunday roast starts at 12 o'clock. but already at 2:30 a.m. 2. no lamming scales (only to say if we have already ordered) 3.Ordered 2 med rare surfing tower and 1 med good surfing tower. however received 2 med good and 1 med rare. no jumbo king prawns and calamari were overwhelmed. 4.No feedback at eating 5. one of the pages we ordered, we had to check...
