Food and service was excellent ! Menu was very extensive. Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for some amazing Indian food!

Service is very good. Our server Mukit is very nice. He served us well. But for food I did not find it authentic indian taste. Only we liked Dal Tarka which was near to the Indian taste. According to London it's a one time experience is good.. Also location and amebinece is liked by us..

Amazing place, this comes from a long time enjoyers of Indian cuisine. We have received outstanding service by Sam the manager, a charming young man who took great care of us, made us feel welcome and provided amazing care way beyond anything else. While traveling around London we ate an obscene amount of Indian food and went to many different restaurants. This is hands down the best Indian restaurant I've ever been to and was the best out of the other highly rated restaurants we went to. Our favorite dishes were the mixed sampler, chicken tikka masala, dansak chicken, and the duck shashlik.

Be very careful here to my fellow out of towners, They think your a stupid tourist. We ordered a lamb dish!! They served up duck, all chopped up. We ordered chicken Tika and it came in some bland purée vegetable soup sauce. They are passing off garbage that they are not selling. The room, People go just to take pictures Save your money and go somewhere else. Dumb Canadian tourists!!!

We really enjoyed our time at The India. Not knowing much about it, just went due to good reviews. We were intrigued as we walked into a cool tube like restaurant. Greeted by awesome people that work here. Salman recommended the chicken tikka Bombay blast dish and it was one of the best chicken dishes that we've ever had. The chicken tikka main and tandoori king prawn were also amazing. Steamed rice is simple but this place does that well too. Definitely recommend. Ver carta

I came to London thinking it would have the best Indian food outside of India. This place was recommended to me by my concierge. I walked in and immediately felt like I was in an MRI machine. Servers were rude and condescending. Had to fight with bartenders to adjust the fan in my direction because it was so hot and stuffy. If you are clostrophobic, DON'T GO HERE!!! Food was overpriced and underwhelming. The bathroom in The Underground was far cleaner. I will return to London and I will never step foot in here ever again. Avoid this one.

Convinced the only reason this place doesn 't have 5 or 6 star average is because people aren 't on Yelp much here in London!! I haven 't given out a 5 star review in what feels like a while: enter The India Restaurant. I was confused at first because this place truly looks like a tiny hole in the wall restaurant. Then you go downstairs into what feels like an elegant but legit cavern. Service was amazing. Food was delicious!! The restaurant is downstairs in an old bomb shelter which is very cool. Dim lighting and nice music. Menu is authentic and has a great variety. Unfortunately, they do not offer a full bar/cocktails but the wine list was good so we got a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc which paired nicely with our meal. They brought out papadum with 4 dippers as bread service. For starters, we went with samosas and the garlic prawns. Both were delicious. The samosas had a little heat to them and the prawns were tender and just garlicky enough. For mains, my son and I got chicken tikka masala and my husband got the lamb tikka masala.
