Amazing Sunday roasts, great value for the money and so tasty. if you eat meat or your veterinarian or vegan it's amazing b in N16!!! Lovely staff and a great choice of beer. it's a must!!!

Visited for early dinner on a Saturday. There was a large group of us and we were very well looked after. Great selection of drinks, particularly beers. The Indian food was all very tasty and served promptly. Would definitely return.

A great find for relaxed drinks and delicious food. The curries are great and the Sunday lunch is great value. Particularly love the booma chicken curry. Although I’m local I’ve only just discovered it, it’s become a regular place for drinks. Ver carta

Came here with a friend for dinner and drinks. Very nice vibe and atmosphere as soon as we walked in. Staff were all lovely. Very decent prices for it being in London. We both got the vegan gnocchi dish and it was absolutely delicious. Interior has a very nice feel to it too. Would definitely recommend.

I visited mid evening on a Monday night. The barman who served me was very efficient and knowledgeable of the beer that he was selling me. I was made very welcome and, as a result, had my dinner here. I chose a Halloumi Burger, which proved to be delicious. I even stayed for a dessert, unusually for me. I hope that I get a chance to visit again.

This is by far the best Vegan/Veg Roast I’ve had. Also agreed by my boyfriend, who has worked in some amazing kitchens . We’ve tried them all , believe me and recently have had to succumb to making our own, after so many disappointed attempts and wasted money. The nut roast is perfectly moist and yet crunchy. The veg fresh. The potatoes crunchy and fluffy and I bet any meat eater would be fooled by the amazing Gravy. I don’t have a photo because it was inhaled before I even thought to take one. The only thing I can hope for it the addition of a vegan Yorkie and pudding !! Ver carta

Eaten here a number of times on a Sunday. Decent Sunday roast is the norm, not cheap but pleasant meal. Today we had a really poor meal. Food delivered lukewarm, sent back to kitchen. Broccoli barely cooked and very hard, other veg indifferent. Quality and presentation has seemingly suffered since last visit or maybe it’s just a bad day in the kitchen. Maitre d was hugely apologetic and offered us a refund. Accepted but the three of us would really rather have had a good lunch. In passing, the Yorkshire pudding is really odd. Hopefully things will be improved by our next visit.

My friend and I are regular at this pub in Stoke Newington, given that we live in the area. The pub is well known for their legendary Sunday Roasts but unfortunately today they failed miserably. Usually on a Sunday, it is extremely difficult to get a table..but not today! There were a handful of people and we both thought it was strange. Then the food came.... The beef was full of fat; the vegetables were barely cooked and the Yorkshire puddings were burnt. I am not sure what happened but apparently the management changed. I am willing to give it another try, but they really need to impress me, if they do not want to lose two long term customers.

The Jolly Butchers was once a great pub. The selection of beers and ciders was second to none, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Not anymore. Gone is the feel of a proper pub which serves food to be replaced by staff greeting you as you enter and attempting to shuffle you towards a table of their choosing. Gone are the groups of local having a knees up, to be replaced by quiet tables of people eating overpriced and underwhelming food. It 's ok for pubs to change and to oppose them focussing more on food is to truly against an overwhelming tide. But pubs needn 't lose their souls, they needn 't have staff waiting to intercept you as you walk through the door. At one visit recently we... Ver carta
