"We went here for father's day breakfast. The member of staff who took my order was polite and efficient. Our food arrived quickly and was pretty good. The only reason I didn't give 5* is because while we were eating, I became aware of someone shouting. I was very surprised to see that it was a chef, shouting at a colleague about the food she was in the process of delivering. There ensued a shouted conversation between the two, all the while a plate of food was going cold. The waitress then returned to the kitchen with the food and returned a few moments later looking decidedly annoyed. Very unprofessional of the chef to be shouting across the pub. whatever the issue was should have been dealt with in the kitchen not in front of customers."

Think this pub gets worse every time I come in. The staff have nothing but attitude and it makes for a bad experience all round

I was impressed by the staff's kindness in assisting people to their tables, as the restaurant was very full. I appreciated being able to get a second cup of coffee from the machine. The place was clean and the staff were friendly and efficient.

We ordered from the small dish menu. Fish chips and peas. Chips and peas were cold. Fish was very good. drinks were amazing (apple juice and orange juice and lemonade, lots of ice and fruit). Good service, quick and efficient. We had to scramble our own condiments off surrounding tables but never mind. Reasonable value.

Overall, the pub seemed understaffed and poorly managed. The main appeal of Wetherspoons is its affordability, but this results in overcrowding and a lack of cleanliness. I will not be returning to this pub. While the food may be decent in ideal conditions, the poor customer service and hygiene standards were unacceptable.

I visited this pub on Friday, December 16th after work. I was very disappointed because they stopped serving drinks at 1am and the door staff were insisting that everyone finish up and leave by 1am, without considering the fact that customers are allowed 20 minutes to finish their drinks after last call. This is definitely the worst Wetherspoons in Bristol.

Always a good ale selection at Kingswood. Even have Oakham Citra in cans now. Thornbridge Jaipur as a permanent ale is why me and my friends come here regularly. £2.46 a pint. Always good service and the ale good (and cheap). Often 8 ales on at once so a selection for everyone. Was gutted when they stopped selling Citra on the pump but great they have it in cans as an alternative.

Came here on Friday for a works do around 7pm and the place was packed, most if not all tables taken but we managed to grab two of the high tables in the middle and meander around those. Much improved since last time I stopped coming in as much a number of years ago so was sceptical but very happy overall this time I work down in Hanham which is very close so will recommend for our next night out

My wife and I always come to The Kingswood Colliers, we are local to the area and find this place to be better than most. We went recently, I had chicken and chips, she had fish and chips and both we were impressed with. More so the service, you know what you’re getting with food at Wetherspoons but the service here is great. The staff of the floor seem to work hard and the service on the bar is friendly. They regularly sell my favourite ale Bristol Belle too. It’s great that more local breweries are included here and there’s always a big selection.

"We booked our family Xmas dinner there was very excited for it tbh , when we arrived the waitresses was friendly and amazing really good staff especially the young girl waiting our table , unfortunately when the food came was very disappointing I think my meat was lamb but the slices was so thin it almost seemed packet store bought again the carrots we had 3 slices very small and not even a quarter of a parsnip and a ball of something. That was mashed and the potatoes was simply lacking the gravy was nice aslo the condiments but then the desserts came and unfortunately followed suit with the sicky toffee pudding was obviously brought in and microwaved and hot held for a long time as there was a layer about the size of the top of my little finger that was hard and dried out basically and to top it off we let the waitress know some was orders with custard as it’s all pre ordered next thing we know the chef was at our table with her back up letting us know we was wrong untill we showed her the order form un professional tbh we was paying up to 30£ per person for this and from a table full of chefs and waitresses stand point never really do reviews but as it’s a lovely place thought needed to be said as a professional you need to hear the negatives to improve otherwise people will say it’s good and never return , bar staff front of house staff 10 out 0f 10 thou"
