"I ordered an amazing cake for my mother’s 60th birthday, and I couldn’t have been happier with it. They followed my request perfectly and even added some sparkling decorations as a delightful surprise! My mother loved the cake, and it tasted fantastic. I would definitely recommend their birthday cakes, as they offer beautiful creations in their shop. The service was excellent!"

"First time at Shimla and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, the staff were so friendly and we had an amazing time. They were very accommodating of my daughters allergy to egg and made sure that we were enjoying our food. I couldn't believe that we had such a great quality meal for 4 people for under £50 and we will definitely be going back. The currys were all so flavoursome and the naan was as fresh as can be. They gladly packed up a couple of dishes for us to take home so that we didn't waste anything. Massive thank you to the staff at Shimla, they were just amazing and made a huge fuss of the kids which was lovely. Highly recommended for a great night out that won't break the bank"

"I went back to this wonderful pub last week for lunch with my sister. I ordered fish and chips, while she had lamb hot pot. She usually has a picky appetite and doesn't eat potatoes, but she surprisingly enjoyed every bite of her meal. I had a pint of Butty Bach, while she had a fruit juice to finish our meal. The Colliers Arms serves some of the best comfort food in the West Midlands, and Hayley and her team are always friendly and provide professional service."

"Easy to find and get to, on the A5, near Cannock. Big car park with plenty of room. Warm welcome on arrival. Comfortable seats and a decent amount of room around the table. Service was good from a pleasant young lady. Good range of meals on the menu. Food was presented well and tasted good duo of pork). So why not 5 stars? Atmosphere was spoilt by a smell of kitchen smoke. Food could have been a little bit hotter. One member of the team didn't smile. Still we enjoyed our visit and would return. "in consideration of our meal on December 28th, the ambiente in the room lacked more festive joy. the dining areas are divided into two areas, a winter garden and an adjoining room, through which the winter garden is accessible. the conservatory was a little decorated and seemed to sit a more beautiful place; I felt like we were sitting in a workstation kantine. first the waitresses were very attentive, especially a medium-aged blonde, which was very happy and helpful. it was pointed out, however, that certain items were not available to order, including two sloved pork belly (two were then found) and two house mixed grill. there was a short waiting time for drinks and our meals, but that was not a problem. I'm sorry to say, my cocky boar was 80% soft white fat (no cracking) and some hard dry meal underneath. my kartoffels, plucked and carrots were delicious and so was the serious. my man gave me his small portion steak, which was also very tasty, but also incredibly small. we also got two side chips that we had not ordered, but had cooked. if it wasn't for my steak and extra chips I would have been very hungry. my man said his chicken part was very dry and hard to swallow. the desserts were in order, but very expensive for what they were £6.75 everyone and some items were not available again to order. after dessert the dinge began to go downhill. we joked that the waiting staff must have made a break because we have not seen anyone for about ten minutes, then a group of 3 came from the kitchen that spoke between themselves, not one of them went to one of the tables where the people were sitting. two went to the winter garden where there were no customers and after the conversation a man came out of the kitchen, they began to delete and reset tables. At some point a waitress came to our table, took two dirty dishes away and asked if we want coffee, but we did not get it, and there were another 10 minutes before cleaning the other dirty dishes and we were asked about coffee again, but it was too late then. we paid the bill and left. if it were just me and my husband, then I would certainly have complained, but when I chose this facility, I felt guilty and embarrassing about our special meal and I'm sorry to say I won't come back soon. this bistro urgently needs renovation and personal training."
