"On the third floor of the Ainscow Hotel, this is worth seeking out as the food was a very good quality and pretty reasonably priced. I ate as a resident and hence benefited from a 20% discount they were offering, but even without that I thought the prices were good. Started with Bury Black Pudding with poached egg, well seasoned, enjoyable and tasty perhaps could have done with some bread to go with it. For the main I had sea bass with saute potatoes, Bok Choy and sugar snap peas, all cooked very well, perhaps slightly salty but otherwise very good. Nice glass of chenin blanc to wash it down, didn't have a pudding."

Helpful, charming and knowledgeable waiters. Excellent service and well cooked food. Best rib-eye steak had in ages. Good wine selection. All in all very enjoyable meal.

Brilliant food and service with reasonably priced meals. I had a carbonara and it was probably the best I had. Loved the little cheese baskets that were on top of the dish holding the Parmesan.

My friend and I recently enjoyed an afternoon tea and we are so happy we did. The setting was lovely, with beautiful cups, saucers, and tableware. The cake stand had a great selection of sandwiches and cakes, and we were not disappointed. It was definitely worth the money. Ver carta

I went to Lynwood restaurant last night after checking TripAdvisor first. The food was fantastic and great value. The staff were amazing, especially Chris who provided excellent service. It was my mum's 80th birthday and they arranged the cake and candles without any issues. They were accommodating to a picky eater and said, "if it is in our kitchen, you can have it!" We will definitely be returning before my graduation.

Really enjoyed this, especially as I'm not really a fan of dining alone. Service was fast friendly and efficient. Food was perfectly cooked and stylishly presented and good value (especially with the 20% hotel resident discount). I especially enjoyed the smoked salmon gravid lax starter. I also had the sirloin steak which was tender and cooked medium rare exactly how I had requested. Highly recommend. Would visit again if I'm in the area. Ver carta

Bought a group on voucher for a steak meal and glass of wine for two. Fantastic evening from start to finish. The hotel is clean and modern and the staff friendly and very professional. The restaurant is nicely decorated and quite homely. We shared the meat platter we had as a starter. Our steak meal was fabulous, the steak was cooked to perfection. We also shared the lemon meringue dessert, which was wonderful. We got a good sized glass of malbec with the meal too. All this finished off with a coffee. Can't wait to go back.

Went for dinner with my wife; we were greeted by a very friendly chap who I think was the restaurant duty manager and were shown immediately to our table. The food was well presented and very tasty from the starters through to the warm chocolate brownies which we shared for dessert. There were a few niggling points with the service including forgetting a drink and bringing the wrong starter for my wife which in fairness was her alternative choice so she ate it anyway. These were minor issues which will resolve with time and experience

"Hearing about a traditional fish and chip shop in Prestwich, complete with a restaurant and bar, and cooking in beef-dripping with the option for vegetable oil (call to confirm vegetable oil availability), I was compelled to check it out. Upon entering the shop, I found myself in the bar area, with access to the restaurant located upstairs. The bar was furnished with tables, chairs, and stools for those wishing to enjoy a drink or avoid the stairs. It is encouraging to see young people engaged in the fish and chip shop trade, potentially leading to more traditional establishments in the future. The cod, although slightly smaller than expected, was delicious and cooked to perfection. The chips were among the best I’ve had in a long time. The pea fritters, black pudding fritters, and tartare sauce were also excellent. In-house pies were available as well, so I sampled the cheese and onion and meat and potato varieties and can recommend both. There is parking available across the street and on-street. However, the opening hours might not suit those looking for a lunchtime meal, as at the time of this review, the hours are Tuesday to Saturday from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM, and closed on Sunday and Monday.
