The New Kirk Bistro/ Clachan

Great night away for a winter getaway great views Service good and lovely food . Also rooms decorated nicely. Good continental breakfast and great value. Would definitely recommend.

Stopped off for a refreshment and a bite to eat, had Lentil soup, very tasty. Staff polite and friendly. The Clachan situated in a lovely spot and looks onto Loch Earn with spectacular views.

We visited the place on a quiet weekend for a quick lunch before going for a hike, had to wait for 20 minutes for a fun-size portion of soup. Unfortunately I can't recommend this place. At least it was tasty.. Ver carta

Very clean room , nice view of the loch. Helpful friendly staff, although not many of them. Food good on Sun but disappointing on Mon. Very well stocked bar. Leather couches in bar need replacing, would have been nice to see the fire or candles lit to add warmth to the room.

Enjoyed our stay, rooms clean quiet and comfortable, bathroom newly refurbished, great location, ease of parking, would prefer an option if a cooked breakfast, but the continental provided was fine. Hotel a bit tired in places, but I believe under recent new ownership, and coming out of a barren time for hospitality, understandable, would we stay again, yes.

Steak pie was tasty but terrible portions...walked away still feeling hungry, I get that steak is expensive but even the veg and chips were scarce...potatoes cost pennies, really wouldn't hurt to add some more...Politely said the manager that the portion was far too small, he shrugged his shoulders, didn't say anything and then walked away....waste of £10.50 won't be going back. Second visit to this lovely place, we were on our honeymoon and stopped by to have a bite to eat as we were staying locally. I knew what I wanted straight away, the steak pie with potatoes and veg, I had it last time we visited and it is the best steak pie Ive ever tasted, im a fussy eater but it is delicious. Also the lady who served us was very friendly and really down to earth, we had an amazing experience and will defently be back when we visit again next year.

We had a lovely overnight stay, the beds were very comfortable, the rooms were pleasant. The hotel has character and the spiders webs mentioned in other reviews only add to that character, didn't your mother ever tell you a spider in the house means you won't have any other insects. Rhoda (hope that is the correct spelling) was wonderful from check-in to last orders, my dad (who is early stage dementia) said she made the trip with her proper barmaid patter! Many thanks to her for keeping him calm when he lost his bank card (it was in front of him) and for laughing almost as hard as I did when he sneezed out his teeth. I hope we will all be back.

Steak and ale pies were absolutely stunning, a rich sauce that had us mopping up our plates and it was all we could do not to lick them after. Fish and chips were crisp to perfection, with good quality haddock. All four of us were in stitches and holding onto every word shared by the part owner who made us feel incredibly at home the minute we stepped through the door. Quick service, the barman was friendly, and we left with a rich knowledge of the history of the building and its surroundings. Sounds like there are exciting projects in the pipeline for future accommodation and it can only get better with so much love and care put into the place.
