"I had eaten twice in a waggoner than vegetarian, so I knew they had a really extensive and tasty veggie menu, but I was still a bit nervous to go more vegan than I had to eat both earlier times with naughty. it turns out that they have a complete and delicious vegan menu! there are 5 or 6 starters including a vegan suppe of the day that was beautiful. they were so apologetic that they have no milk-free spread for the broth I think they would normally. the moving mountain burger was really nice and the wedges with which he came were beautiful. I could not believe that there are four correct puddings and options of the milk free cream or ice. I had warm chocolate fudge cake with milk free ice cream and it was the most beautiful dessert I had been going since the vegan. my 2 table attendants are carnivores and enjoyed their meal (not vegan), so it is a good place to go when they have a mixed group to please. all my foods came with a flag in it, so the kitchen clearly put effort to call their vegan foods and to handle it appropriately. I am also tee-total and found the soft drinks menu really extensive. they have not only the usual softdrinks 0% beer, wine and apple wine. it was not allowed to give him 5 stars as it is not completely vegan."

they have a dedicated vegan menu full of tasty options, my favorite is the mushroom risotto or filled roasted paprika. they also have many dessert options (the vegan custard they use is so good, it is even approved milk-eater by my mother who thought it was just as good as regular custard.)

The meal was delightful as always, however, the service was not very welcoming. We dined in for dinner, with a price range of £40-£50 per person. The food was rated 3 out of 5, service was 4 out of 5, and the atmosphere was 4 out of 5. Recommended dishes include the Cheese and Onion Pie. There is plenty of parking available with free parking options. Ver carta

I am celiac, and the Waggoner has one of the most extensive gluten free lunchtime menus I have seen, I was also very impressed with the care taken to ensure not only was the food gluten free, but every care taken to ensure no cross contamination I am going back on on Tuesday this next week to try their breakfast menus Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I recently went for an anniversary meal at the restaurant. We decided to try out their new Christmas menu. The roast turkey dinner was incredibly delicious. The food was hot and the fresh vegetables were cooked perfectly. We finished off the meal with profiteroles and Irish coffees. This is my husband's favorite place to eat. Once again, well done New Waggoners. We will be back soon. Parking can be busy but there is always space available. Meal type: Dinner

"Myself, my girlfriend 2 others visited this place on Friday night on walking in the smell of damp and stale water was shocking, there was a manky hand written sign on the door stating that the place was due to close in November due to retirement ! When we was shown to our table the smell was shocking there was damp patches above our table and it was clear to see vents had been installed to allow air to flow along the joists however this meant the stinking air was released into the dining area. On ordering drinks we was told certain drinks where not available which was not a good start. I have to say the food was not too bad but far from the best I have had. My girlfriend and her friend went to the toilets, which had no lights, where dirty and smelt dreadful nearly causing my girlfriend to be physically sick. I went into the gents and it was the same no basic cleaning had been done in my opinion for a long time ! I personally think this place is not closing due to retirement but more down to the fact it needs a lot of money spending on it and they clearly do not want to bother, the staff member who served us was only a young girl and said she did not take food orders and she was only there to serve drinks so we had to wait to have our order taken. It is a good thing that this is closing down as it is dreadful place to sit and eat. It cost us over £100 for food and drinks and is over priced in my opinion !"
