"Absolutely brilliant from entering this fantastic restaurant. It was beautiful from the hosts (Anabelle and Lauren), who could not be more welcoming, friendly, entertaining and always smiling. The food was wonderful. My lemon sole was so much better than at Rick Stein's. The food was to die for, Peter the chef is a food magician, it has just entered into my top 3 restaurants in the world. Thank you for a lovely evening. We will definitely be back."

"The Dining Room has a stellar reputation and going by Google reviews, exceptional in every way. And I will continue to beat that drum. I had the absolute joy of dining here last night. Meticulous attention to detail wove through the evening, through the food and service and ambience, pulling all the elements together into a work of art. The visual beauty of the food did not set you up for a disappointing mouthful. Every flavour and component was there for a reason and played off each other purposefully. My highlights were the truffle cheesecake with balsamic, the smoked cheese custard with Beetroot, the perfectly-cooked-melt-in-your-mouth venison and the rum poached pineapple cheesecake. I tasted many more from people at various levels of willingness to share and can vouch for the rest of the menu too. The value for money is worth mentioning as I left absolutely satiated, happy and not lacking anything. What a treat."

"that cannot praise enough. he started with a terrine. very nice I thought. moved to 35 days steak. £30 I was thinking it was a little rather than her predatory type places, but hey I am on vacation and in nathan outlaws restaurant, so I expect it to be a little higher. it was worth every penny. she saw perfection and proper melt in mouth cut and finally the desert. Now this is not really something I should be proud of, but I know my sticky toffee puddings and have a top five list where I had them (yes pretty sad). after having two poor versions in cornwall, I came with a argument that if they are square cut, then they are probably better, as single people in a round pudding seem to be the poorer wise. she said it was round, so I rejected a desert. my party ordered one for me at some point and I could not have been wrong if I had tried. this desert went straight to no1. heavenly. great view over the bay/Sea rek has a beautiful evening and all others also enjoyed their meal. I'll be back in rock."

"Punching above it’s weight in the seaside town of Padstein, it doesn’t get more convivial than this. The environs are cosy as in a we’re sitting around a barrel in a fishmonger’s kitchen kind of way. Make no mistake seafood is challenging. Pleasing everyone is difficult. On one hand you have fruits de mer served on a platter of ice while on the other we have dishes that delight without overwhelming the star of the show. If you’re not squeamish about prodding what goes on your plate then you yourself can select the clearest eyed and reddest gill piscine produce this side of the seashore. Be prepared as some of the crustaceans can nip back. The mackerel was a revelation. It had umami without being overly unctuous. I sensed charcoal flavours on the crunchy skin but did not see a BBQ grill in the kitchen. Order 2 so you don’t have to share. They eschewed beer batter in preference to tempura and my son’s hake was the better for it. My wife and I are still talking about that seafood stew. It was recommended by another patron and as we were tucking into it with gusto, saw others observing us and uttering that infamous line from ‘When Harry met Sally’. The waitstaff are absolute jewels but not magicians. Book early. I hear tables are still available in 2020."

"Spectacular. We booked for an anniversary celebration, and it was everything we could have hoped for. An experience like this is a leap of faith and No.6 is a pair of safe hands. The food is exceptional. The wine pairing package was expensive but excellent, and really took the food to another level. What set No.6 apart was the service. Brilliantly friendly without being overbearing, knowledgeable without being irritable when asked stupid questions !! a shout out to the sommeliers! So many special touches ... an anniversary card, personalised menus, gifts to take away, a map of local ingredients and suppliers, and a follow up email was a lovely touch. The restaurant itself is small, but accommodates enough guests to keep 15 or so tables full, with enough staff to perfectly serve everyone, without feeling noisy, busy or stressful. I envy anyone who can eat there regularly, and will certainly be back!"
