Friendly welcome, tasty, well presented lunch. Reasonably priced menu Recent new ownership. Love the Decor, too! Would highly recommend this to locals and tourists. We will be back.

We had a great meal, the best we have had at the Otter for some time, so well.done! Only downfall was that it was cold in the dining room, we need more heaters or radiators please!! But would highly recommend!

Had a wonderful dinner at The Otter. The new owners have brought a breath of fresh air to the business and I wish them every success. Well the pub is open and on a Monday and serving food till late, I enjoyed a couple of drinks and a takeaway pizza with my partner it was all delicious and great value. It’s good to have new owners who are also keen to go above and beyond for locals including midweek when others just close keep up the good work and thank you.

New owners are a breath of fresh air. Keen and knowledgeable. Great menu from pizza, steak, good veggie options. We had the Cajun chicken burger which was excellent. The pizza went down well with my daughter and the mixed grill was delicious but not for the faint hearted (large helpings all round). Well done on a great start. We’ll be back soon.

My husband and I visited The Otter today for Sunday lunch. Our roast sirloin of beef was absolutely delicious. The meat was tender and came with lovely vegetables including red cabbage, carrots and tenderstem broccoli. Not forgetting the crispy roast potatoes and Yorkshire pud! All lovely and hot. This village pub is now under new management. Sister company to The Marine in Sidmouth, you know what quality of service food to expect! Today, I had a baguette with beef mustard mayo. Just delicious! Elleia Emily, the 2 young ladies, on duty, front of house, simply charming chatty with the guests. Don 't just dine here when passing through, make a detour, you will not be disappointed!

Amazing Sunday Lunch, the roast beef was beautifully cooked and the veg was lovely, roasted carrots, tenderstem broccoli and red Cabbage, with crispy roast potatoes, a lovely fluffy yorkshire pud and pepper gravy, also ordered a child's roast pork which comes with a scoop of ice cream to follow for a very reasonable price. It was very busy, and I would definitely advise booking for Sunday lunchtimes, will be booking afain for mother's day as the menu looks great

Visited today with my husband and pooch for Sunday lunch, it was amazing, my husband had the beef, which melted in the mouth and all the veg was cooked perfectly. I had the ploughman’s with a side of the chips (which were the crispiest chips I’ve ever had! The cheese was sooo good and plentiful, the salad was really well dressed and the accompanying pickles and chutney were yum, it also came with a big hunk of artisan bread and butter. There was a really lovely buzz and we can’t wait to go back! Ver carta
