"I was delighted to discover a charming coffee shop in a small village that offers vegan options. The food was delicious and the menu mentioned that other dishes can be made vegan. I thoroughly enjoyed my garlic mushrooms on toast with vegan cream cheese and spinach. My fiancé opted for the bacon and brie sandwich. The interior of the place is lovely and the service is friendly. I will definitely be returning to try the breakfast menu, although it's a shame it ends at 12. It would be great to have a brunch menu on Sundays."

The staff at this restaurant were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the vegan and vegetarian options available. The food was delicious for everyone, not just those with dietary restrictions.

Such a cute and welcoming little café. We've went for breakfast a few weeks ago and popped in today after our walk and I can't fault anything. The family that own it are so friendly and if you ever go and the Vegan rocky road is available, grab one (or two) without even questioning it. Wow

I went to this restaurant for breakfast and enjoyed a tasty customizable breakfast platter. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The bakery had a wide variety of vegan options, including cheeses and desserts. They also had a selection of treats for dogs. I noticed that all items on the lunch menu had vegan options, so I am excited to come back and try them in the future.

Really enjoyed our Scrambled Tofu breakfast at Prestons. Loads of plant milk coffee options. More vegan options than you might usually find very friendly place and easy vegan options. It was so good we left with takeaway sandwiches and cinnamon buns as well. Overton and the surrounding area are really limited for vegan options, so it is great that we have a new cafe that has some vegan options. The menu is roughly half and half between meat and vegan options. It is a small menu, but good breakfast and lunch options. Non-dairy milks, milkshakes, ice creams, and cakes. Very good service, and nice food. £9 for a burger is at the top end of the price, but with so few other options I am not complaining too much!

It is so great you will find beautiful coffee shop in small villages offering vegan options. The food was very nice and on the menu they apply that other options are possible to make vegan. My garlic mushrooms on toast with vegan cream cheese and spinach was delicious. My fiancée had bacon and brie sandwich. The place in beautiful interior and the service is friendly. Definitely come back to try the breakfast menu, which unfortunately stops at 12 but on Sunday would be nice to have like a brunch menu.

"Our first visit. We cannot praise thank The Wellie highly enough. What a find! Peacefully rural on a quiet road to the south of Baughurst. A classic, pretty country pub, now converted to an excellent restaurant, with three rooms. What strikes you first is how immaculate The Wellie is, inside and out. The large garden is a delight. Masses of dahlias and all manner of bushes and plants. Birds, birds and more birds. Do check out the vegetable garden beyond the rear car park. You then walk inside to the warmest of relaxed welcomes from the owners, Simon and Jason, and manager, Sheila, and their lovely young helpers. Nothing is too much trouble. The first thing you’ll spot is the array of fruit, veg salad for sale by the pub bar – the Wellie Deli. Along with home made jams, chutneys, quiches, etc. I then spotted the two hand pumps! Longdog Golden Poacher Basingstoke Pride. The seating inside is for diners every session is a sell out! But I was very happy to sup several excellent pints of well kept draught Basingstoke Pride in the garden – until I discovered their Negronis! Truly the best this side of Kwant (Piccadilly). We’d opted for the room in the pub: the Apartment. Two rooms on the first floor, knocked through. Enormous comfy bed, large rainfall shower, sofa, mini bar – two TVs! Free milk homemade shortbread. One of the discoveries we made here is the fabulous tea they serve from Prince Sons. As you can tell by now, we were very happy with our first stay at The Wellie… and then we went down for dinner! A truly exceptional menu from Jason’s kitchen, which changes each evening. Highlights were the scallops wrapped in pancetta, the pollack, the lamb pot pie, the twice baked cheese souffle, the NY cheesecake, the rhubarb ice cream, the treacle tart... All so fresh, tasty, and mainly from their garden. What we loved most was it was relaxed but fine dining without the tiny portions. The Full English breakfast the next morning was equally tasty. All in all, we did not want to go home! Thank you Simon, Jason Sheila. We will be back, soon."
