Carvery Sunday lunch, very good price for 3 courses and coffee, food nicely cooked. However one complaint food only lukewarm and served on cold plates. We kicked things off with a fabulous glass of Prosecco, and you could choose either tea or coffee to accompany the meal. For under ten pounds per person, I would say it was a great value. The only things I would suggest changing are adding a small handful of crisps on the side of the sandwiches and serving the scones on the same plate as the cake.

We were warmly welcomed at the reception and directed to the restaurant. Once we found a table, the waitress kindly informed us that they were offering a special lunch menu, suggesting a hot drink while we looked over the menu. Our food arrived promptly, beautifully presented. The staff who served us were very friendly and cheerful. It was a delightful experience for both my wife and me to dine here. Ver carta

I went for the Sunday carvery, and I regret that decision. The food was cold and so limp that it was inedible. The Yorkshire puddings were cold, the roast potatoes, despite being advertised as crispy, were actually soggy, and the herbs on top were the only crispy part. The roast carrots and parsnips were also cold and drenched in oil, and the meat was dry. The dining experience was quite pleasant, though I found it to be on the expensive side. We tried the black dishes and the lamb, both of which were of excellent quality, well-prepared, and satisfying. The food was beautifully presented and freshly cooked, which was apparent. The atmosphere was lovely, and the establishment was clean and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. I did notice that there could be more options on the menu, but it wasn't a major issue. If you're staying at the hotel, I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
