"I went for the Sunday carvery, and I regret that decision. The food was cold and so limp that it was inedible. The Yorkshire puddings were cold, the roast potatoes, despite being advertised as crispy, were actually soggy, and the herbs on top were the only crispy part. The roast carrots and parsnips were also cold and drenched in oil, and the meat was dry. Carvery Sunday lunch, very good price for 3 courses and coffee, food nicely cooked. However one complaint food only lukewarm and served on cold plates. Custard ran out and quickly replaced but stone cold. I would return if these problems were rectified. We were warmly welcomed at the reception and directed to the restaurant. Once we found a table, the waitress kindly informed us that they were offering a special lunch menu, suggesting a hot drink while we looked over the menu. Our food arrived promptly, beautifully presented. The staff who served us were very friendly and cheerful. It was a delightful experience for both my wife and me to dine here.
