Four of us had a really delightful Sunday lunch here on 18/7. Generous portions of well cooked, really tasty food. Really friendly and welcoming landlord and staff. Now on our list of places for a regular visit for Sunday lunch

visited hennock last weekend for a trip with my partner and pooch. we stay on a farm on the road and that was our locals. all three nights we visited there and met many very friendly people. we could even win. on the flesh bingo.

this is our local and we couldn't love it anymore, today was the first chance that we get child care and go for a dinner as a couple since the move into the opposite absolutely amazing eating and brilliant real ale. I could not recommend the...pub higher

Yum! The Portuguese sardines were absolutely delicious done to perfection. The fish, chips and mushy peas were amazing. And as for Angie's brownie, well...... Added bonus was to be there on quiz night which was great fun. Warm welcome from the team and the...locals. Very relaxed, enjoyable evening.

I don’t usually do reviews but this had to be done. Visited the Palk last night and had the most amazing meal in a very long time. Staff were amazing and many thanks to Gus the chef for making the most amazing fish dish for...us. The monk fish, giant prawns, mussels and clams done in a lovely creamy sauce was to die for. This is a wonderful place to eat and would recommend 100%. Thank you so much for such a wonderful evening

a real, unpretentious place pub. so pleased for them that they have secured a chef and booked completely today. cozy bar with log burner leads to a backroom with log burner and pool table with it area. beautiful landscape view and...Garden very good sunday roast with wimpers of veg and gravy. amazingly good value. doggy friendly. very pleasant rental and crew. steep stairs to loos, but otherwise easily accessible to the side of the pubs. in good beer guide.

We wandered to the park arms for dinner whilst staying at Stickwick Manor. The poor landlord was a tad stressed as none of his staff had turned up and we were a group of 12. However, what we saw was the locals and the tourists...all working together to help out where possible to relief the stress. The food came out and was delicious and as staff started to filter in to help out, the atmosphere in the garden and pub was just wonderful. Great visit. Thank you

that's our local, so I'm probably a little biased, but still. we were thrilled as mike, the renter, told us he had a new cook arrived and yesterday evening decided to get rid of him. the menu is exactly what they expect to find with something for everyone, plus a few specials. we chose white and garlic mushrooms. clear plates round. mains were the palk burger with all circumcisions and the fish garnelen curry special. the burger was as well remembered and the “Special” was really special for all the right reasons. all this, a roaring log fire and glorious real ale. Even if it wasn't our native, we would be back!

This review has taken me a week to get around to writing. I have been trying to think of something inspirational but alas, these meager scribblings will have to suffice. I, along with friends, family and my dog Hovis, have been regular summer visitors to...The Palk for the past 4 years. Free weekends are spent daydreaming the hours away at the campsite (Hennock Hideaways) 3 minutes walk away. NOT ONCE have we been disappointed by the welcome from Mike, Sadie and the wonderful staff. Equally the amazingly friendly locals are a pleasure to spend time with. Lately, however, something has happened..... IT GOT BETTER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 The addition of a fantastically talented Portuguese chef has ma...
