The Pancake Place - Carta

Its OK, good pancake and quick service. Chips undercooked, lots of staff but they dont fully clean table areas before passing onto guests debris under table from kids, staff covering multiple stations so had multiple staff asking same questions. Stick to the pancakes.

Went there for breakfast and coffee toasts, although by breakfast means a full plate of scampi. Great experience, great coffee with such a lovely food, friendly very efficient staff as per usual. On entering restaurant had difficulty manoeuvring my wheelchair through the 2 doors at entrance. Once inside there is really only one table for a wheel chair to go so we sat there other customers also went and chose their seats a member of staff quite cheeky said that we should have waited to be seated the place has just opened so it wasn’t like they were struggling to seat people. All in all food was good but some staff’s attitudes needs adjusting. Ver carta

I found this place on a dreary day while in Dundee attending to a family emergency. I was lonely, anxious, and pretty miserable. I ordered the banoffee pancakes and they worked magic. Comfort food in a casual place made me feel so much better! Since that visit I have been back several times on subsequent visits to Dundee. The staff, while not super friendly, is attentive. The food has been consistent each time and is appropriately priced for the portion received.

Been here before during Covid and we sat outside, which to be honest was better! The acoustics inside were terrible, it made it very hard to hear and have a conversation. The menu choice was good, hubby ordered burger and chips which he said were good, but not the best. I had the blueberry pancakes which came with more cream than pancake! They were good but I've had better. The whole bill seemed a bit on the expensive side, if the prices were slightly less, the food a bit better then I might give 5 stars. Overall I'd come back again but only if I can sit outside!

The meal at this restaurant was absolutely terrible. My husband and I stopped in for lunch after seeing they offered savory options on the menu. We both ordered the loaded chips, but they were loaded with low-quality ingredients. I got the BBQ chicken chips, which were just standard oven chips topped with cheap cheese, flavorless chicken chunks, and an overwhelming watery BBQ sauce. I could only manage to eat about 10 chips. My husband got a different version of the loaded chips, which were equally disappointing. They charged us £10 each for these subpar meals. I had the banofee stack pancakes and it was delicious the place was empty but that was probably due to the time and day I visited. It was when a storm was happening. The cafe is clean tidy, well spaced out with booths to have your privacy and also warm. The staff were very pleasant and joy to talk to which is rare, certainly in my opinion. The pancakes we delicious and there was ample toffee sauce to go with the pancakes. I really, really enjoyed them! I also didn't feel rushed to pay and leave; I was left alone to warm myself next to the radiator as I was frozen, maybe thats because Im from the south. Price was very good under £10. My family and I recently visited this restaurant after a long absence. We were warmly greeted with a friendly smile and instantly felt at home. Aside from their delicious pancakes, they also offer a variety of other menu options. We enjoyed tasty cappuccinos and American-style hot dogs with crispy fries. My spouse had a delicious banana and everything pancake, as you can see in the pictures. I would say having been coming to the Pancake Place over the last 10 years, once every other month, it has sadly went very badly down hill. My wife and I visited with our 12 year old daughter. On arrival we were seated quickly and our drinks order taken within a few minutes. We received our drinks 2 diet pepsi which were not fizzy (clearly issue with draft) and a smoothie which was very tasty and refreshing.
