Nice cocktails and friendly staff in a hotel bar with a DJ. Also possibly the worlds largest disco ball...

Cocktails are expensive and awful tasting. They can't make a Moscow mule, and their signature cocktails are just plain vile. The morning glory cocktail smells like a wet towel and tastes like soap. Ghastly place. No atmosphere, half empty, decor looking cheap and tired, avoid.

The Perception Bar on the first floor of the W Hotel is fairly large and has a contemporary modern design with the usual wall features. There are several bar areas with comfortable seating. They also have a DJ. If you like a fairly young crowd and Hip Tourists then this is the place for you. Ver carta

Most reviews here talk about the great drinks and evening ambience that The Perception has at the W London, however this place also serves up some amazing breakfast food, especially if you're staying at the W hotel. As a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium elite I was offered breakfast here which was beyond my expectations. A+

When I arrived, I was informed that my reservation wasn't valid for brunch because I booked through OpenTable instead of directly with the restaurant. This was frustrating since we couldn't enjoy the brunch menu as they typically offer. However, we were given complimentary drinks, and the staff was very apologetic. The food and cocktails were delicious!

The music was a bit loud at times, but it wasn't too bothersome. It's a fantastic spot for taking pictures, and there's also a photo booth available. I had a couple of drinks which was nice. Quite a boujee place, very chill classy decor and vibe. Staff were hit and miss, had a really rude member move us from our seats saying its reserved even tho we were taken there by another member of staff, he was really short and angry even tho it was am honest mistake. We moved elsewhere and was waiting ages for our drinks as we were forgotten about but we had a really nice bartender who served us eventually and even gave my friend a free drink because she didn't like her cocktail, and offered her to try others. A friend visiting London was staying there and a few of us arranged to meet him in the bar before going for dinner. Greeted at the door by two men bursting with self importance. After having to call to get our friend to speak to someone in the hotel he reluctantly let us pass. We all got to the bar, ordered then noticed the place was full of old fat men and girls looking for rich fat old men. We downed our not so great cocktails (mine was a rather bitter espresso martini) and decided to leave sharpish. We checked out his room before leaving just felt gimmicky and cheap.
