"Had Sunday lunch here. We asked for a bar table next to the fire which was lovely, not as formal as the main dining room. I had the veggie Sunday roast option that was amazing best veggie meal I have had in ages. Service was lovely as usual,not rushed but not slow. Wish I had had room for dessert, will have to go just for pudding one day!! Vegetarian options: Lentil, shallot and celeriac pie with red current sauce, roast parsnips and potatoes, seasonal greens and roast beetroot. Amazing,"

"Just had to take the time to write a quick review about the yew tree, we arranged to meet some friends for an annual post Christmas get together, 15 of us in total a mix of couples and small children, we spent a few hours locally and I’d booked a table the day previously, on arrival we we’re greeted and shown though to our own private dining area! Perfect! We spent 3 hours there in total, food, drinks and deserts. No issues, all food arrived hot and together, we had a wonderful afternoon and felt really happy and comfortable whilst there. Thankyou."

"Stayed at the campsite here it was lovely nice small adults only site it was just perfect . Some gorgeous walks from the site along the canal and onto the sandstone trail .. sat in the beer garden on the side of the canal both nights with our two dogs and it was so beautiful . Everyone really friendly and a decent price for drinks too .. only one little thing which is a negative which isn’t really the sites fault but dogs are suppose to be on leads at all times but some people don’t think this applies to them which is a little annoying when our dogs are tied up and then another dog wanders over to our pitch and causes our dogs to get excited and we are trying to just have a nice sit down .. facilities are good will definitely be back !!!!"

"After driving up and down the A49 for years and always wondering about this restaurant, I finally had the chance to stop in for a very late Sunday lunch. The sign outside advertised "Serving roast dinners until it's gone!", and luckily they still had roasts available at 4pm. My friend and I chose the 2-course meal for £19.99. She started with the salt 'n' pepper chicken wings, which were excellent - the crispy coating on the whole wings was fantastic, and the chili dressing and side salad were a nice addition. I opted for the mushroom and Stilton bake, which was delicious with its stringy mozzarella and salty Stilton. For our main course, we both had the beef roast, which was cooked to perfection and served with 8 different vegetables. The restaurant was cozy, comfortable, and decorated for Christmas, which added to the atmosphere. The staff were helpful and attentive, although a bit slow when we asked for the bill. Overall, a great addition to our dining options and I will definitely be returning with my family. Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5"

"Living down the road, it 's taken me a while to visit The Rasoi since its opening a few years ago. After seeing hospitality businesses flop in that location, I couldn 't help noticing how there are always cars in the car park and people dining inside every night the restaurant is open. One thing that has always baffled me is the table in the window by the traffic light. On multiple occasions while in my car I couldn 't help but look in at the people sat at that table thinking why on earth would you sit at that table? because I can 't be the only traveller who can 't resist the urge of staring in. Nonetheless, last night, my girlfriend and I finally visited. The service was very friendly and helpful; we were first sat on comfy chairs while our table was prepared and we were able to look through the menu at this point. My girlfriend then informed me that when making our reservation on the phone, she had specifically booked the window table, simply because I had gone on about it in the past and when passing. So, after ordering our meals, we were led to the table in the window. The poppadums gave generous portions of pickles and sauces which were all delicious, but an easy mark to hit. Then, the curries arrived. These curries were by far the most delicious meals I 've ever had at an Indian restaurant. The Karahi in particular had a place in my dreams last night. The sauces were well balanced and the meat was tender and succulent. The naans were on the smaller side, but very tasty. The one bit of criticism would be that we were either not given the chilli naan we ordered, or the chilli naan wasn 't very spicy. All in all it was a brilliant night and I can 't wait to see how well they do the other curries on their menu as I now intend to go through them all. I must admit that now I understand why people sit, or don 't mind sitting at the window table and that 's because you have such a good time with the delicious food inside, you 're not paying any attention whatsoever to the drivers staring at you outside.
