Eaten cafe and chip shop food Both absolutely amazing even down to my weak coffee great sized portions eating in or taking away, lovely staff and a great warming atmosphere, wait time is roughly 20 to 30 mins. Waited 40 minutes( after paying) no chicken kebab meat only donner and it was only 6.45pm. Seemed more important to get their justeat orders done. Costumer waiting an hour to get a gluten free meal! Bring back Maria because this place is so disorganised and in my opinion is a shadow of what it used to be when it was Mario's. We waited over 35 minutes for our food after paying, and we weren’t informed there would be a delay. We didn’t even order anything unusual—just fish and chips. In fact, seven customers came and went after us. The customer service was appalling. I had heard wonderful things about this place, and while the cod was excellent, I won’t be returning. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the situation, which is such a disappointment. Service: Takeout.

Amazing food as usual! Two Amazing adults meals and three very happy kids ! The only place we can all eat as a family with one ceoliac , quality was great , we usually eat in but had a takeaway for a change . Kids meals are a better price then a certain capital M place ! Hands down the best chippy around, not just the Brownhills area but the whole of the Walsall borough. Yes you might wait a little longer than other places, but I would rather do that and have all the food cooked fresh than have it all dried out and horrible like other places just for the sake of a few extra minutes. The whole staff work tirelessly to serve whatever you require, nothing is ever too much trouble and the menu choice is the best around. Normal chips, battered chips and even beef dripping chips. We have ordered from The Plaice To Eat a few times now for work. I work in the local Nursing Home and we order for approx 50people at a time. The shop have always been accommodating to our needs as we have varying diet types including someone who is gluten free and nothing is ever too much trouble to ensure our residents all get fed. The food is delivered to us hot, fresh, and well cooked and you can always tell when it's chippy day cause you can hear a pin drop in the dining room!! Not to mention you'll find the staff gathered around the staff room table nicking the left over chips and sauces for butties! Spot on food. Amazing how the offer 3 types of chips (beef dripping, plain veggie and battered chips) daily and then also have a gluten free day. Portion sizes are MASSIVE. Normal prices. Little wait on fish ect as the cook them fresh, which adds to their top quality food, not just sitting in hot cabinets. Kebabs are absoloutly on point. THEY ALSO SELL IRISH CURRY. You aint had it before? Then you need to try. This is a honest review and for the only negative i could dig at is i dont like the gravy, its not like chipshop gravy but like a bisto one, which ovbiously would be a higher quality gravy than the chip shop, but chip shop gravy is chipshop gravy, just goes abit better.
