Even in my darkest time, while I lived in Australia (it is true, I have complained more than I had, it is really not so bad), there was always a thing about it that gave me hope in a better life, in the existence of a higher for the purpose: spud bar. something as simple as a baked kartorun with all that you could wish, is the perfect evolution of “fast foods”

I wouldn't have thought I had been so impressed with a jacket kartoffel for lunch. but my recent visit to the potato project in soho was one of the more satisfying meals I had recently. from “a classic” to “a bit different” is the menu of the potato project from exactly what you would expect to bring a kartoffel onto the stage to find even inventive and even fascinating combinations.

This was a great place to go to get a quick meal, it was the first place we ate in Soho after checking in to our airbnb just around the corner and it was perfect. Staff was very friendly and helpful in making the tough decision about which potato to choose. The 3 of us all chose different potatoes but they were all amazing. They have a very small space upstairs where you order and then they have a couple of communal tables downstairs with more space to sit.

I was surprised to see a kartoffel chain similar to spudbar, which works here in london. I was also surprised to see that my Mealpal-ordered chicken curry potato is in a pesto and mozzarella (be sold out because of) another unintentional vegetarian lunch, sigh. this meal made me a little confused. the sweet potato, although ridiculously expensive, is cooked to perfection and holds it together. almost. the skin is an unbleached jacket with a thorough injection of pesto and cheese. but it is not the right cheese for a sweet potato. it only ends a lump, and the beautiful bright pesto separates with all the olive oil at the bottom of the box.
