Like many Soho pubs encapsulates the classic victorian boozer. Lots of architectural interest, friendly service, but too much for the bitter/ ale drinker

Soho used to be full of old-school boozers like this, but many have sadly gone (replaced with upmarket shoe shops, accessory-boutiques and whatnot), but The George remains. It's a small space, and tables are at a premium. Or stand on the pavement outside and watch the world go by. Staff were great on my last visit, and I was pleased to see Singha on tap, which is something of a rarity. Much like this pub. Ver carta
