"what a relief. After there was a terrible experience in the medditeran luqoom in inverness (it was terrible Italian eating), this was a breath of fresh air. Those with nuts allergies will be glad to hear that main dishes and side have no nuts (not sure about deserting). the pizza was spectacular and was the perfect size. the suppe of the day was minensuppe and was great. the waitresses were fantastic. be aware that to busy hours they need a reservation. total large restaurant in wick."

""Sometimes things just happen. Occasionally, a restaurant might lose a reservation for six people, but that was not the case at No.1 Bistro! The staff were lovely and chatty, and the food was excellent and perfectly portioned. I started with the gin-infused salmon, followed by the traditional haddock and chips. A casual remark from one of our group about my favorite wife's birthday the next day prompted a delightful surprise: a plate decorated with 'Happy Birthday' written in chocolate and accompanied by absolutely stunning white and milk chocolate cubes. It was a Monday night, so the restaurant wasn’t too busy, which worked out well for us Sassanachs. I would highly recommend this place (just remember to double-check your reservation)!""

"Accidentally find the restaurant…by the water! Of course but their food even surprise you more! Amicable servants, decent meal, nice ambiance…fabulous, even for the pre-dinner bread with the starters! The day before was my birthday, this experience made me feel like a celebration once again. Highly recommended, the snail, the lamb chop the Marseille fish soup and the meat-paste too! Especially even the complimentary mashed potatoes which comes with the main dish was good. For the next time I will try the Burgundy beef. Thanks for giving me such a good time."

"Ordered food lastnight, payed when ordered. Told it would be ready in twenty minutes came back at exactly twenty mins and place was in darkness and closed! When I went tonight to find out what the issue was lastnite and for a refund or the food order they said I wasn’t there lastnight and I wasn’t getting anything! What makes it worse is I hadn’t had anything to drink or been out ,but they must do this to a lot of people hoping they are drunk and don’t remember! They are thieves!"

"First time eating at the Northern Sole and I will definitely be back! I can honestly say that they served best kebab I’ve ever had as you can see from the pictures!???? The food out of there is so fresh and homemade, just how any restaurant should be. Their prices are amazing considering the high quality of food you are getting and the customer service is excellent. Will be returning very soon????"
