"Delicious food, reasonably priced, and wonderful service in a beautifully atmospheric restaurant. The Raj never fails to impress even the most discerning customer. We had the garlic mushrooms starters and the JalaJule curries, one chicken, one lamb. The curry was as hot as advertised, but still full of complex flavours not hidden by the chillies. Both were absolutely delicious, and beautifully presented. The service is impressively discreet yet attentive, even though we went at quite a busy time, when it was almost full, and the portions are too big for one sitting, for most people, with takeaway leftover bags offered as standard. The Raj gets many local restaurant awards, and it’s easy to see why. Absolutely recommended."

Are here the other week after myself and a group of friends went go-karting in the area. Booked over the phone with minimal hassle. Overall had a great time here. Food prices were reasonable, food was delicious and generously proportioned and staff were warm and friendly. Would eat here again if we are back in the area.

I met a friend to catch up over a curry. Both our mains looked identical even though we ordered completely different dishes. The similarities continued through the night. Both of us suffered stomach cramping and bloating. Something wasn't quite right. A shame really. The food and service were very good. We won't be returning.

We had another amazing New Year's Eve meal at Raj in Springfield, Wigan. We are frequent patrons and always find plenty of parking available. The delicious smell of Indian food greets you before you even enter the restaurant. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed, and the food is consistently delicious. The staff at Raj go above and beyond to ensure a top-notch dining experience. A big thank you to all the staff, including the chefs, for another fantastic evening.

Indian food is my favorite, and I have visited many Indian restaurants in my life without leaving a bad review until now. While I may not have enjoyed a certain curry from a different restaurant in the past, everyone's cooking is different with various flavors and spices. However, I cannot give them a bad review based on that. I have found all of the restaurants to be clean and fresh, with staff wearing clean uniforms and no unpleasant smells in the establishment. I hope this changes, but I will not be returning to this restaurant. I am sorry.

"After reading the reviews we was really looking forward to eating here ,however it turned out to be the worst tapas and worst service we have ever received . After waiting 10 minutes for someone to take our drinks order we then waited a further 30 mins to be served with what can only be described as toast with tasteless mushed up tomatoes on , this was inedible and hardly touched , a further 20 minutes on and we was served a single dish of chicken between two of us again this was very bland and resembled nothing like a original tapas dish more like a chicken korma again this was hardly touched . When I enquired as to where the rest of the food was I was told they was very busy . With this we decided to cut our loses and asked for the bill . Before leaving we tried to have a conversation with the manager who is also the chef to give some honest feedback ,however he wasn’t open to listening , he’s response was “it’s normal in a tapas restaurant to receive one dish at a time between two with a large gap between dishes wasn’t it explained to you that’s what tapas is “We felt this was a very patronising remark as we eat tapas on a regular basis and know this is definitely not the case . To matters worse there was people who came in after us with multiple plates and tucking in nicely to their meals . The manager who was obviously struggling to cope on a busy Saturday night should have just apologised and admitted our order had been overlooked . If you are looking for authentic Tapas with excellent service in Wigan go to Casa Carlos this place doesn’t deserve your hard earned money ."
