we enjoyed our time in the ramblers rest. beautiful old building. the food was good, but the Tempura pilze were very oily. service was friendly.

.Always good food at the Ramblers Rest. It had been a manic super hot bank holiday Monday lunch so the staff were a little frazzled and they missed a couple of things but all in all, as usual, a really nice meal. Kid friendly too. Good veggie dishes if needed and large menu variety

eating was not great to be honest. the pate came with very little crostini and salsa and the salat was ok, but the gurken stripes made it a little slim and the speck was not cooked by. So no, I wouldn't recommend being honest with what a candid is because it's a tasty pub with big staff and a beautiful environment. Ver carta

The food was okay. Nothing to write home about. We all had Sunday roasts at around PM and some of the potatoes and vegetables were very dry and bland. The service was absolutely awful. It took to get asked what we would like for desert and then another to get served the desert. A huge disappointment to what once was a nice pub

Unfortunately I am unable to comment as they called and cancelled the evening before we were due to visit on Father’s Day. As you can imagine this was very disappointing as we had very little time (in fact no time) to arrange something else. It is ridiculous that Open Table offers tables when there aren’t any available and therefore the restaurant has to cancel. There’s no communication between open table and the restaurant. Ironically, I even got an email to confirm my booking after the restaurant called an cancelled. Not impressed at all.
