Ploughman’s lunch should be easy to put together and a pleasure except when the cheddar cheese is MOULDY and the crusty bun is a lump of partly warmed up dough and is inedible Very poor management. Should be able to do better

Awful service, our custom clearly wasn't welcome. We won't be returning. A sunny Saturday afternoon visit, but there were clouds hanging over the landlady. We couldn't have the food we wanted, everything was too much bother! The waiting staff weren't to blame and were dutiful.

Went here for dinner with the family. The team were very accommodating, friendly and very good service. The food was great. I had the steak from the specials board- it’s was probably the nicest steak I have had in a long time. Cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend and looking forward to returning. Ver carta

Mi esposo, mis dos hijos visitamos este pub recientemente. Fue bastante tranquilo, pedimos bebidas mientras nos decidimos qué comida a la orden. Pedimos comida, entonces, que nos llevó al menos 45 minutos para llegar, con mis hijos llegar muy agitada. La comida era normal, no el sofocante calidad habitual de pub que hemos tenido antes en sus otros pubs.

of us ate here on a Saturday evening. We had good meals for under a tenner each, which is rare these days. The food wasn't the pretentious gastro-overpriced fayre that a lot of places seem to aspire to now. Beer was good, surroundings...very pleasant. I believe there is a new Landlord here now and this place deserves some success. Much better than a meal I had here years ago. Give it a whirl!!

Al haber comido aquí antes, llegamos temprano para almorzar antes de que se pusiera demasiado llenos!. El servicio siempre es buena y el personal es muy agradable y acogedor. Pedí el cálido bacon y chorizo ensalada con aderezo balsámico, fue absolutamente maravilloso. Mi marido optamos por la 'jamón y huevos ' con deliciosas patatas fritas. No teníamos habitación para postres, pero en visitas anteriores el helado en cestas tuille declaró que era una delicia. Había una familia estadounidense sentado frente al fuego de leña que parecían encantados de haber encontrado un auténtico pub inglés que sirve una comida. el ambiente es encantador, cervezas y vale la pena una visita. Visitamos para el almuerzo habiendo reservado una mesa. El pub es actualmente amuebladas con muchos premios por la calidad de la comida y cerveza en la exposición cerca del bar. Cuatro de nosotros cenamos tuve la coliflor, brécol hornear con patatas fritas hechas a mano. El queso tenía un buen sabor fuerte y las patatas fritas cocinado a la perfección. Otros tuvieron el trio. de tartas cada uno de los cuales era muy sabroso. El miembro final de nuestro grupo tenía el jamón y patatas como con todas las comidas muy sabrosa y una generosa porción. Nos saltamos entrantes para mantener la habitación para pudding. nuevo todos estaban bien presentado fresco y agradable. cafés dos rondas de bebidas...

As we live in rode village thought we would go local for a evening out, was told when we ordered that it was a revised menu as they have no staff...fine we thought plenty to choose from, fish cake and one chicken fillet, when...it came out it looked good but was cold in the middle obviously was put in the ping ping microwave) decided needed to visit lady's room only to be told to get out the way of the telly because the rugby was on!!! Got back to table to be told they lost my order, mine was on its way!!! The burgers were cold and raw in the middle so given back new ones issued only to bite into again raw again!!! Once you let it go twice is unforgivable!!! How hard is it to cook a burger,...

Pleasant enough waitress though she ‘forgot’ to take our order! Once we had bought that to her attention (after a wait of at least she duly apologised, took our order popped it through to the kitchen. Whilst we were waiting another table sent...back their food which was redelivered mins later. Still no sign of our food. Kitchen staff seemed busy popping in out of the bar/restaurant (popping lights on; it was lunchtime…bizarre)! The table whose food was redelivered left (without paying)….a subtle sign that we should perhaps have done the same but we’d already ordered, we were hungry, miles from home with no knowledge of any other eateries nearby we continued waiting patiently.
