Ate here this evening my husband had a beef dinner and I had pork, it was amazing only waited 10 minutes or so when it came there was plenty of it and piping hot we'll worth a visit.

Not good food, overpriced, I won’t visit again and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Staff were friendly enough and we didn’t have a long wait although there weren’t many customers to serve.

on the way back from the bathroom and very disappointed to not see a vegetarian option on the menu. When we asked the renter, he said it was late on the day, but we were a menu that did not have any vegetarian meal on it. oh. I guess you could have a sandwich! renter did not offer a veggie option so that we just left. customer service bad. Ver carta

With our dog in tow we were made very welcome by bar staff, sat by the cost fire, it was late afternoon so pork and chicken toast unavailable so I had brisket and hubby had beef , very tasty with condiments, chef came out and...asked if everything ok and it surely was delicious roast and friendly staff , warm fire absolutely perfect thank you Mark Ang Otis

on the way to bath for lunch and prepares a good meal. I just wanted to have a light lunch, but ended up with one of their "special pies and veg, and it was all excellent fayre beautiful served in a comfortable...environment a great enough for 2 with extra veg came to £16.95, which was served for what was extraordinary worth. everything in all red lion is recommended.

at the first visit of this pub we thought we would try to look like it looked beautiful from the outside. I wish we had not disturbed, all the touch points were grubby and toilets disgusting, clearly not good in the cleaning department! ordered our broken firefish and chips, 5 minutes later it was placed before us, chips were cooked quite sooner and just warmed in the microwave and the frozen shell was tasteless, only vile! I wish I had gone to Ver carta

We met here , 6 of us, for a meal and chat and I think that this is the worst catering establishment I have been to in 50 years. I have no idea what is the point of them trading. The service was at best...haphazard, the food was unbelievable, in a “what is that meant to be” way. I do understand the problems running a food business and know that there are some good ones, but WE, THE BRITISH PEOPLE DESERVE BETTER, WE REALLY DO and not just in food outlets. Avoid.

We checked the website before going and although the web did indicate “sample menu” hardly anything was available. Very limited choice, quite different to that advertised. Chips with everything and no fresh vegetables. There appeared to be only one member of staff serving at the...bar and delivering meals to tables. The prices were also a good 20% dearer than advertised. If you’re going to have a website, it needs to be kept up to date. We won’t be visiting here again or recommending it. Very disappointed.

Called in today for some pub lunch. We both chose the Yorkshire pudding with beef brisket. Sat down with our drinks and 5 minutes later the food came along......surprised at the suddeness of it being ready so quickly and it doesn't usually bode well when...this happens. And you know what, it was utter sh*t!! Infact, it was so bad, i couldn't stop laughing!!! The beef brisket was something akin to a going on a stag do to Grimsby with the lads. Full of promise, but utterly utterly disappointing. We ate what we could, infact we ate more than we should have as it cost us almost £30 for the two mains and two drinks. Friendly enough, nice location, just do NOT eat here unless your life is already... Ver carta
