Popped in on the way back from our first visit since February 2020 to meet family in Chester. Our order was quickly taken and our food arrived timeously. The meal was excellent, the staff were friendly, courteous and efficient a credit to the establishment

During our two-night stay at the hotel, we dined at the restaurant for one evening and both mornings. The food was tasty, but the service was very slow. The breakfast was surprisingly small and took a long time to be served. The portion of beans was particularly tiny. Although the food was nice, I would not return due to the slow service.

I recently dined at FYR in the North Lakes Hotel Spa on a Saturday evening and was thoroughly impressed. The food was exceptional, starting with the chef's plate that included a variety of beautifully presented meats and salads. For the main course, I enjoyed the flavorful Piri Piri Chicken served on a creative skewer. Unlike other places where presentation overshadows taste, this meal was top-notch in quality and bursting with vibrant flavors. I ended the meal with a delicious sticky toffee pudding that was simply delightful. The staff were also commendable - well-trained, friendly, and professional. I can't wait to return, especially when hosting guests in the area.

Visited yesterday for a family lunch. All 3 of us decided to have the afternoon tea from the menu but was told that wasn’t available as they had a few afternoon teas going to the Spa that day and to give 24 hours advance notice in the future. Nowhere does it say advance notice is required on the internet site or the menu. I chose halloumi kebab which was very nice. We waited and waited to see a waitress to ask for another drink and in the end went to the bar to ask for the bill. We visited on a Monday evening while staying at center parcs nearby. As girl restaurants go, I felt it was quite good, but as a restaurant in its own right, nothing special. We ordered bread to share which was served with smoky butter), a starter each then my husband had a sirloin steak with the smoky grill sauce and I had the halloumi kebab. I felt the bread was ok but didn 't get much of the smoked flavour through in the butter so it was a bit underwhelming. The starters were interesting and tasty, particularly the arancini which were well balanced and had lovely texture.
