Family of 4. Bar staff nice but food disappointing. Wood not take kids hear again. Was ok nothing to shout about

Lovely lunch but definitely a locals pub lots of heads turned when we pulled up would visit again as food was nice.

Made welcome, pub very quiet, only locals drinking. But decided to stay and try the food. Food very wholesome and enjoyable. Would comeback. Ver carta

Miserable staff and bad service. Didn't order food as a couple were complaining about how bad their food was. There were no beers available or vodka. Had a lager each and left quickly.

The restaurant area is small and cramped, with the food not meeting typical pub standards. The staff are friendly but not very attentive despite their numbers. This place feels more like a neighborhood pub. On the bright side, dogs are welcome!

The staff, including the owner, had a bad attitude. They had a limited beer selection, and the ones they did have tasted like they came from a can. The owner was often seen sitting outside drinking instead of working. I would not recommend this restaurant. Ver carta

What a horrible dive! Food looked rank , beer glasses filthy, waiting staff disinterested and rude, bar staff friendly , over priced, loud crude patrons, smoking area right by entrance/exit, toilets stank and dirty, table sticky, terrible pub huddled in a beuatuful little villlage, what a waste of £5.10 !!!

I went to this restaurant for a few drinks and found a very pleasant atmosphere with welcoming staff. However, while ordering drinks, one of my companions overheard an adult employee speaking rudely and swearing at some much younger staff. Despite this incident, the pub was lovely and the portion sizes of the food looked great as they passed by. The staff were friendly and I would recommend this place if you're looking to eat.

Mid week meal thought we would try The Rising Sun, the restaurant was empty which isn’t a good start, the menu very much pub grub. My husband had ham, egg and chips which he really enjoyed. I didn’t want anything fried so had a starter as a main, perhaps I read the menu wrong but not what I thought, deep fried mushrooms complete with a hair. Quite understand these things happen but when I mentioned it to the waitress she just walked away no apology, she didn’t know what lagers they had, no good bye thank you. Staff need to be trained in customer service. Sorry won’t be returning Ver carta
