The food at this restaurant was outstanding and reasonably priced. The staff was attentive and friendly, and there was plenty of parking available.

Every time I have visited this place it is out of necessity as other pubs shut, staff are not welcoming or friendly and I have felt like it is not a place for ‘non-locals’

First time here in many years it was the place we always used to stop on the way back from holiday. Nice little pub. Dropped in for Sunday lunch. We ordered the roast rib of beef and turkey lunches. Overall, very nice and well cooked. Roast potatoes could have been better tempted to say that cooked from frozen, but not sure. Everything else was very good. Ver carta

This restaurant is located in a very old coaching inn with low ceilings and old oak beams. The decor is pleasant and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. The menu changes with the seasons and features daily specials. The portion sizes are generous and the food is of high quality, leaning towards the better side of pub cuisine. We keep coming back because we know what to expect. The Sunday Roasts are particularly tasty.

Came here for a works birthday outing the other week. Little choice on menu for a light lunch. Was told the cheese toastie was not available unfortunately so went for the fishcake dish which was basically a small fishcake with some lettuce leaves which I paid nearly a tenner for and it was okay but would have liked two if I'm honest. My work colleagues mainly had burgers which I believe they enjoyed. I will come back for an evening meal in the future with my partner and family

I am posting this review on behalf of my partner, who dined at this pub with a friend on Tuesday, May 21st, 2024. She asked me to confirm that they had a wonderful experience and enjoyed their lunch date. They both started with the garlic mushrooms, had the chicken burger for mains, and finished with a mini pudding and hot drink. The food was cooked beautifully, delicious, and good value for money. My partner also mentioned that all staff members she interacted with were friendly and helpful. She is looking forward to coming back for another chicken burger!
