"Booked for a family meal...the overall experience was very disappointing. Two of the meals arrived cold and were bland and tasteless. The bar service was poor...the bar was left unattended for a considerable time. Not one member of staff came to check to see how we were were enjoying the meal. We even had to clear our plates away from our table...just not good enough. It wasn't as though they were busy at the time of our visit. We may return to have a drink in the bar/beer garden but certainly won't be having another meal at The Royal."

a very nice pub restaurant with dining room, bars inside and a large garden back to enjoy in the sun. I've been here several times.

very good, friendly and attentive service. beautiful warm open fire. we had the suppe and the sandwich lunch and the children chose from the children's menu. I hope to try.

Wasn't overly happy with the manager loudly saying it would have been nice to have been asked about extending a table with another . THE FISH and chips at £16:90 were very nice

The worst Sunday lunch. Frozen tasteless veg, thin tasteless gravy. Meet described as sirloin on beef, could have re-soled my shoes, tough and fatty. Really disappointed given how busy this place appears to be. Great location, clean, friendly helpful staff but will not be returning.

Last week had a meal with friends, my little girl has food intolerances and the staff was really helpful. it was nice for lilly to enjoy a whole series on the menu. rachel one of the waitresses had even baked some delicious gluten-free brownies that let them easily lilly sample for pudding. eating was delicious, especially the pizza we definitely back x

had a wonderful stay juni for my men birthday. the pub was beautifully renovated and the welcone was warm and friendly. the beer garden at the back is fabulous, especially on a very sunny day! our dog-friendly room was attached in a separate, secure annex to the pub, the room was attractive and very comfortable. a nice note was a dog bed and water/food bowls that were provided. the evening meal, the breakfast and the choice of the ales and the refreshing drinks were not disappointed. Go on!
