Went here on a recommendation from a local man while on holiday, The fish chips were terrible, the chips were not fresh had been re fried, sick a disappointment

Delightful fish and chips, the curry sauce is top notch. My little one really enjoys the fishcakes. Even better you can eat your fish and chips opposite in the pub with a nice pint.

Been a fairly regular to the Royal Plaice for fish chips as on our regular walking route. Deeply disappointed by the size of the fish for the cost, certainly not worth the money imo.

The best fish and chips with curry sauce we have had in years. Very good valour, You can even eat it across the road in the pub and they give you salt and vinegar and knife and fork in the pub!

This is our local chippy, the best fish and chips in North Devon, the portion size was not as big but filled an empty stomach, nearly always have to wait in a long queue but this can't be helped.

We tried the curries tonight for the first time. Both the chicken and vegan options were delicious. The curries come with rice and a variety of accompaniments. Good value and lovely to have a vegan choice! We will return.

This in my opinion is the best Fish and Chips in Appledore, Devon. The place is very clean, service is quick and staff are extremely friendly. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for great food. Generous sized portions.

Had takeaway fish chips from The Royal Plaice and they were extremely good. Had to wait quite a while as there was just one person working, but the give you a buzzer that pings when your order is ready, so you can get a drink in the pub opposite while you wait.

We have used this chippy everv week for years. We always got good value, and great fish chips. Recently the prices have gone up. which is fair enough. However the size of the fish the portion of chips have been reduced drastically. Just no longer value. We will use the other chippy from now on.
