Excellent Sunday Roast and puddings today. All perfectly cooked, superb presentation, tasty with friendly staff in a family friendly atmosphere. What more could you ask for? Well done everyone at The Rusty Axe!! We will be back soon

I really enjoyed my sparkling curry at this restaurant. Although they had some minor issues, the owner was very helpful in trying to fix them. The food was full of flavor and I can't wait to order another one. This restaurant is top-class.

We popped in here as we were in the area. Well worth a visit. I had sizzling steak skillet and my wife a sizzling chicken skillet. Both dishes were superb Followed by apple and blackberry pie and custard and toffee chocolate sundae. Really good food...Nice place Well worth a visit

The restaurant is pretty good, especially the broth. However, when we visited on a Saturday evening, we were surprised to find it nearly empty when it could have been busier. It's a shame that it doesn't seem to be well-supported by locals. Hopefully, it doesn't affect the success of the restaurant.

Visited with my wife and a couple of friends while on the way back from a walk on the levels. What a find! Super friendly welcome from the bar team who soon made us feel like one of the locals! Sat in the beer garden...to enjoy the sunshine and a pint (or two . Just so happened there was live music and a bbq going on so the day was pretty well finished off perfectly. We were even tempted to have a game of pool. Will call again ! Ver carta

great food and exceptional service. we ordered the eating of sparkles at the rusty axe for the second time since the opening and again we could not mistake it. the food was full of taste and good portion sizes. the service we received at collecting the food was not the second. we were told it would be 20 minutes, and it was exactly prepared to spend time fresh and hot! we even have a Valentine's Day cupcake to go with our meal. can not wait to order from them again

The 4 out of 5 rating MUST be for the previous ownership. We stopped in for a beer on a long walk and the ales were all off, I can forgive a one off but the barman even asked me to taste them all before...buying because they had had a lot of complaints, they were all off, he then asked me what I thought the problem was, pipes aren't cleaned and the barells are poorly kept was my answer. The Rusty Axe is now an Indian restaurant masquerading as a pub, they would be better off going full Indian restaurant and dropping all the real ales because they clearly have no idea how to keep them. Considered as a local (we are about a mile and half away) we decided to walk over to the Rusty Axe in Stembridge. That’s of us adults , kids Kids were exited of we went. We arrived at we had...checked it was open before we set off, was on the web page. On entering we noticed we were the only ones there, family took their seats I went to the bar. I was told that I would have to wait as the till had not come up. Not a problem. We then sat for a further minutes during which the girl I had spoken to earlier returned dressed in a coat and with out a word walked past and departed the pub.
