"the restaurant has actually closed on Mondays; we are new in kehl, got the tipp there to eat well Indian and stood - Mondays - in front of closed door. but the chefin came, opened us - it was the 1st mai - and said that their children would have accepted a reservation anyway, so we are also welcome. the menu is Nordic-traditional, offers a great, tasty variety also to be oriented vegetarian and also to season or preparation. eating in the north - so the chefin told us - is not as sharp as in the south. our dishes were pleasantly spicy; one tasted a certain complexity of the mixes and it was really not too sharp. to the conclusion there were very tasty spices from a vessel to support digestion. I have occasionally made disappointing experiences in Indian restaurants, not so in the "saffron elephant". very recommended and we go back."

The service is German-speaking and very nice.In the kitchen there is a real one (so much for it) and if you order a dish with green pfeffer then that is quite sharp! I can only recommend it.

we were eating there in December 2016 and pleasantly surprised. the staff was very helpful and nice. the foods could have been a bit more spiced, but were very good taste.The price-performance ratio was appropriate.

the restaurant is well located and parking for guests. eating was very tasty and came fast .. a great mango leti is recommended. in the summer absolutely put on the beautiful outside terrace! conclusion: until now the best in which I was in the village. very recommended! tipp: a second local has opened in the offenburg city!

delicious Indian cuisine, everything is freshly prepared. Excellent lunch time specials. service is friendly and courteous...This is the Only excellent Indian that always cooks very fresh ingredients and spices which means you cannot expect such wonderful food unless you are patient! For under 20 Euros for two we ate 2 dishes and had two drinks. a dish includes a choice of 5 meat or vegetarian dishes with salad and rice.

We went there again, this time for lunch after 3 years. Since it was summer we sat outside. There were around 6 tables but only 2 were occupied. I remember a bigger lunch crowd last time. We were there close to 1.30 p.m on a Friday. Lunch was served only until 2 according to the menu. May be we were the last customers???We ordered lamb curry and mutton curry from the lunch menu. The prices were 7.50 euros
