"I visited this restaurant last week to celebrate my daughter's 8th birthday. The staff is very friendly and eager to please. It is a charming traditional pub located by the canal. The food is deliciously prepared and I want to give compliments to the chef. I have been there twice this month and each visit has been wonderful. This restaurant offers great value for money and is a fantastic choice for a family meal."

"This was my first visit to the Marston's pub in the area and I was immediately impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The entertainment catered to all ages and the food was delicious. I will definitely be returning in the future. The average cost per person was between £10-£20 and I would give the food a rating of 5 out of 5."

"When I booked a table for our Christmas meal in October I was told the Christmas menu had not yet been decided but there would be one. I heard nothing until the week before when someone from the pub rang to confirm our booking. They said that there would be no Christmas menu because we had not pre-ordered or paid a deposit but there would be options like duck a l’orange and rack of lamb. When we arrived the menu consisted of bought in Pie-Minster pies, hunters chicken and scampi and their homemade Pirate pies, which were supposed to be a take on the old Desperate Dan pies of old. 3 ordered the Pie-minster pies, which were nice. 2 of us ordered the Pirate pies which were supposed to be a meat and vegetable stew with pastry top. I don’t know how they did it but when they arrived they were scalding hot yet the chantenay carrots were raw or barely cooked. What little meat there was was tough as old boots. You even had to order chips as a side dish! How they had the nerve to charge £16.95 for that meal beggars belief. We used to go to the Little Pack Horse regularly before covid when the food used to be really good quality. If they don’t improve quickly they are doomed."

"My wife and I visited this restaurant on a short stopover in Bewdley. They have a special deal on Sundays and Thursdays, and as it was a Thursday we were lucky. For £14.95 we could have poppadom and chutney tray, any starter, any main, rice or naan, tea or coffee. This was a bargain as separately these items would have cost about £10 more. There was a good choice on the menu, and we particularly enjoyed our starters of stuffed pepper and lamb chops. For main course my wife has a biryani, which was huge, probably too much rice for the meat and sauce, but easy to leave some. I had a curry which came on a sizzler (not sure of the name) which was good but drier than I expected, and without the depth of taste I am used to. Probably not the best choice but perfectly acceptable. The naan was excellent. A good value, tasty meal."

"Small, clean, friendly, this cafe is the best I have been in for some time. Only complaint... I didn't know what to order as the menu is extensive with lots of lovely pasties, cakes and bagettes etc to choose from. We settled for a full English breakfast which was first class. There is a wait of about 15 minutes as it is freshly cooked to order but well worth it, we chose the small one as the large would have been too much for us (double of everything that is in the small one). I have promised myself that next time I go I will have a roast chicken and stuffing and gravy pasty followed by a Vienese whirl. All the food is cooked by a lovely lady on the premises who is very proud of her culinary skills and quite rightly so. We bought a two pack of large sausage rolls to heat at home that evening and will do this again...they were delicious!"
