The Ship - Carta

I visited the Ship Inn with my wife and we had a delightful meal. They offered just one cask ale, but it was in excellent condition – I much prefer having one good ale rather than two or three that aren't quite up to par. The menu featured a variety of options and the portion sizes were generous. My wife ordered the sampi, which came with a substantial serving and a nice salad.

We have visited the restaurant multiple times since Paul and Christina became the owners. The atmosphere is fantastic and the staff are very friendly. Russ has curated an excellent menu and the food is outstanding, all cooked and prepared freshly. The desserts, particularly the Baileys Cheesecake, are exceptional. perfect 2 courts for £10. I thought we would try here as the draycott weapons that make a similar deal are gready since kovid and properly raised there prices and after our meal tonight we will never be back to draycott weapons. nice eating we both really enjoyed both our courses good drinks really pleased to see kronenburg on the train and real chips at this price, at which is always a bonus. a real little gem in little tean highly recommend to all Ver carta

I recently enjoyed a wonderful meal with friends to celebrate a birthday at this restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly and the restaurant was clean and tidy. We ordered a mixed grill, steak and ale pie, duck with mushroom risotto, and blackcurrant sauce - all of which were delicious. The homemade desserts, including Eaton mess, Sticky Toffee Pudding, and Baileys Cheesecake, were also fantastic. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future.

I wasn't sure what to expect from the £10 two-course meal, but we were pleasantly surprised. The food was truly excellent. We arrived on a Saturday evening without a reservation, but the friendly staff managed to find us a spot at the bar, despite being fully booked. They were quite busy, but remained fantastic; you could tell they were under pressure and could probably use more help, yet they handled everything very efficiently. The food was so delicious (thank you, chef) that we decided to return on Sunday for their fried dishes.

First time here for myself and my wife, we live locally but had never been to the Ship before. On arriving we were greeted cheerfully by a young waitress who asked us to sit at any table we liked and she'd be over to take our orders. The menu was very nice and as a bonus the food including desert's were all homemade even the chips. We had a fish n chips and a hunters chicken for main which was really tasty, then we had a chocolate orange sponge and coffee and walnut cake for desert's, Both were unbelievably amazing so tasty. The overall experience would be 10/10 based on the quality of the food, staff and the reasonable price. Will definitely be back again. Thank you for a fantastic meal Ver carta

We visited for a family dinner for the second time on Saturday, having made a reservation in advance, knowing it would be busy. The service was excellent, and our server, Amelia, went above and beyond to accommodate a picky eater at our table. She offered to remove certain items from the plate and suggested alternatives that made my son feel more comfortable with his choices. All the staff provided perfect service, and the timing between courses was just right. Since this was only our second visit, we hoped it would be as good as our first visit as a couple. However, the second experience was even better, and we will definitely return soon. Finally, the price of the food was great value for...
