Staff are very friendly and you always get service with a smile. Food is awesome especially their famous fish pie.

Visited The Ship twice during our recent stay in Boroughbridge. Varied menu and good wholesome food. Would recommend and visit again if in the area.

Absolutely fabulous pub, lovely olde world decor, lovely beer garden, friendly, efficient staff and great location. Absolutely amazing, delicious food! Forget 5 stars- 50 stars, love this place

I just kept a drink in. nice bar, friendly service and eating looked fantastic. everything was clean and dogs were allowed. a large garden for families and a pleasantly raised sitting area forward. In addition, a good parking space is the perfect country pub.

traditional Sunday dinner was great. they can't have done enough gravy even better. Although we were a big group, the loving staff and the kitchen boom were professional and efficient during our visit. the only, very small, negative, which completed 5 stars, was a very limited choice of the right beer.

beautiful old pub in a beautiful village. we had lunch, the roast beef was fabulous and a huge part. the dogs enjoyed the rest! 2 huge yorkshire puddings and they brought a lot of gravy. we could not resist sharing some desserts that were beautiful and the children loved their vain. very friendly staff, will definitely be back.

Popped in for a drink on the way home from a day out with our 3 year old. Asked if any Sunday lunches still available and told yes. Menu was brilliant, opted for 2 Sunday lunches and 1 pie. Food came very quickly. Absolutely faultless food, delicious and huge portions. It really is amazing food, we said on the way home we think its the best Sunday lunch we've ever eaten out. Atmosphere was lovely, staff really friendly, helpful and welcoming. We Will definitely be visiting again

After a pleasant riverside walk from Boroughbridge on Sunday lunch 10th July we called in the Ship pub in Aldeborough on the off chance we could get a table for a Sunday roast, a pleasant friendly lad serving behind the bar managed to find us a table I can honestly say we were treated to the best roast beef dinner which was excellent in every way. To sum the Ship up,a friendly comfortable pub with professional helpful friendly staff thanks to all ! As Arnie said i,l be back Cheers Martyn Julie
