We had a wonderful dining experience here. The food was tasty and the main courses were served with a heaping bowl of vegetables. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We look forward to coming back!

Lovely comfortable pub with friendly staff. It's a great place to grab food and drink after a walk on the seafront with a good selection of ales and wines plus a great choice of food. Dog friendly and accepts Apple Pay contactless.

this is a very beautiful place on the sea front with a small to medium seat back/side. the personal was excellent, informative and smiling. that eating looked amazing, I only thought of a drink, but I'll go back to the din in the near future. Ver carta

We had lunch at The Ship on Christmas Eve and it was a wonderful experience! The staff could not have been more friendly or more helpful they were fantastic despite the pub being so busy! The food was excellent as always and a terrific selection of drinks including a wide choice of wines and real ales. The Ship is rapidly becoming one of the best places to eat in Herne Bay.

Hi all, just returned from Xmas lunch at the ship, WOW what a day, the welcome was warm and friendly the food was superb , and so much of it! All 4 courses were fantastic and I repeat, so much of everything, the staff, every one of them, from nickie, Imogen, Chloe, Adele, Emma, Tony, plus all the staff behind the scenes who we didn’t see could not have done more, perfect day in a perfect environment, Alan and Michelle please thank everyone, you should be very proud of your team, absolute top job by everyone if I could have given more than 5 stars I would have) Ver carta

a couple of years ago randomly visited here and when we were back in the opposite, there was another visit for Sunday dinner. nothing really to rave or complain about, therefore the solid 4 stars rating. we went for a Sunday roast and the best to describe it. costume, plentiful and quite expensive, what more could they want. the only reason not to give a 5 stars is the slowly cooked bark is not my preference for a Sunday roast, but as I said it was a delicious dish of eating. fortunately, we would turn on again if the opposite would also recommend on our experience. there were a few tables reserved, which is a good sign in the rule!

New Years Day we got together with friends for a dog walk along the seafront. We had coffee on the pier and on the way back to the car, decided to call into The Ship for a quick snifter. We were greeted with a warm and friendly manager and it was beautifully decorated for the festive season. We took a seat near the door as we had the woofer. Apart from not having a ginger wine (which not many pubs do have) we had such a nice time in a convivial atmosphere that we decided to stay and have a roast dinner! Wanted a nice lunch with our Family over Christmas. Newly taken over by Shepherd Neame, and appreciate good things may be going to happen was very disappointed. The Ship was nicely decorated, with plenty of Staff for the number of Customers. Sadly the menu let the Restaurant down, it is the same as it has been for the last few months. The wine list was poor, not even as good as it was in the Summer. We have visited twice in that time and were very much looking forward to something new and different. The menus were well used paper ones. It is not cheap to eat out and when you do, you want something that you might not get at home but at least when you leave you won't say I could have done bett...
