The food was delicious the chef is excellent and the staff were very friendly. Drinks were very expensive. I like the roaring fire! made it very cosy.

Came for a roast, what I had was lovely. However it said it came with seasonal veg, which was basically half a carrot? I would have expected at least 3 veg with it being a roast dinner.

This was our first visit to The Ship and we weren’t disappointed. Food was excellent and the staff were really friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The menu is just right, something for everyone. We will return and can thoroughly recommend it.

Food was absolutely AMAZING we have eaten here many times before but this was our extended family 20 of us! EVERYONE commented on how lovely food was hot fresh and service perfect, staff friendly facilities very clean. Atmosphere brilliant, they made our family day perfect. Absolutely recommend if you are looking for a friendly country pub! Prices very reasonable, my roast chicken was lovely want to go back this Sunday! :

My husband and I along with friends have visited the ship for Sunday Roast and last night for a Valentines meal. We are foodies and to accompany that we are critics too. The food on all occasions has been faultless and lovingly cooked tasty plentiful and presented with consideration and effort. The ambience of the pub is relaxed welcoming and warming its hard to make a decision to leave for home. They allow dogs which is a plus for us as our girl Duchess loves to be included. Our Valentines experience was just amazing I don't think they could have done any better. The interaction and attentiveness by the staff is to be commended too. In January we had a lovely family lunch for my birthday, sadly things seem to have gone downhill .We were asked to pre order which we did , however some of our guest who had not pre orders decided on the day to have starters .We waited ages then when the starters came out they had forgotten to do the pre orders ones , so another long wait while they cooked those.A hour and a half after finishing our starters we finally got the mains .We were given complimentary drinks for the mess up over starters , which was a nice gesture.However when it came to paying we split the bill five ways and paid separately, they forgot to take off the service charge then asked us for it .One member of staff was r...
