Can be a bit hit and miss, sometimes great sometimes not so great, depends on what you order and what day it is I think. But mostly good pub food and good sized portions. The owner is nice and hospitable.

popped in for an evening bite to eat as missus totally messed up directions so found this beauty by accident. Had just a mains dinner but glad we did. Excellent evening in a friendly pub hot food good beer enough said will be quite cosy in winter with fires lit too.

Lovely old pub, very nice food and friendly waiting staff. Parking is a bit limited if the Pub is busy, on-street parking only. We ate there twice during our 7 night holiday (stayed at Westward Ho! after discovering it on the 4th night. We look forward to visiting again end of May/early June 2024. Ver carta

We returned after reading the reviews as in the past had a very poor experience. Warm welcome which is a great start. Our host for the evening was Carlos who was good fun, but also very attentive. We were all very pleased with our menu choices and steaks were cooked as requested. Coconut ice cream is delicious. We will be back.

Gorgeous pub, lovely food and outstanding service. 100% recommend. Extensive menu everything we had was excellent. All the staff were great and friendly however a personal shout out to Carlos as he absolutely went above and beyond to ensure you felt welcome and received great service. We are not locals we visited on holiday but we were welcomed like regulars. Lovely evening out Thank you.

We went as a family with our children and grandchildren for Sunday lunch. It was fabulous to be able to choose off the menu as well as carvery which the little ones did. Carvery was lovely and even though it was extremely busy the staff work exceptionally hard to ensure it runs like clockwork. Great choice of dessert extremely well described by Carlos !!! The sticky toffee requires a return visit !! 10/10 for food and especially all the staff Ver carta

We visited The Thatched Inn today for the first time. We only had a main course, I had Gammon steak with chunky chips, egg and pineapple. The gammon was lovely and thick, egg perfectly fried and super chips. My partner whose the (large) pork carvery which she loved, she said she could eat a whole portion of the vegetables on it's own but she really enjoyed the whole meal. All the staff we saw were polite, happy and keen to make our visit the best. We will be visiting again and soon.

Absolutely fantastic pub with great service. The service received from Carlos was amazing his knowledge of the menu was fantastic and all the other staff were friendly. We were a large group and nobody had any complaints about the food which was to a very high standard and there was a good selection available. The pub itself was warm and cosy and didn't feel as though you were crammed in. The only slight issue was the parking as the pub doesn't have its own carpark but there is parking on the road. Highly recommended and definitely worth a visit.

We visited this hostelry twice while on holiday in the area. It has a cosy, old pub feel and is run by an efficient, friendly team. The food choices are huge from the menu and there’s a specials board too. Food is cooked to a very high standard and served nicely on the plate, steaming hot. My beef brisket was melt-in-the-mouth and the loaded fries (on our second visit) were loaded indeed. Portions are on the small side, so you have every excuse to enjoy three courses! It’s a bit out of the way and parking is roadside, but it’s well worth tracking this place down. Ver carta
