I come here each month on a Tuesday night.The staff are always friendly and helpful sometimes they offer free food

Prompt service, lovely food and rather large portions so wouldn't have sides next time lol. generally a lovely place

Went out with friends on Friday to the thorn tree I had fish in breadcrumbs it was delicious then I tried the dancing duck and to finish off with a chocolate orange tart .staff are very friendly it was a bit expensive but well worth it Ver carta

The restaurant was very quiet for a Sunday evening, probably because of the snow. The food and service was as good as ever. I was disappointed that the bread didn't have butter on it though, it was a rather unpleasant smelling spread which was a shame.

Came here with my husband for a meal, cannot rate this place highly enough. The staff literally cannot do enough for you and the food is Excellent! So fresh and hot and very reasonably priced! It's our second visit, and it won't be our last ! Excellent!

We went to this restaurant for a surprise birthday meal on Saturday, the 27th and had a wonderful experience. The place is beautiful, the staff was very helpful and friendly, and the food was fantastic. I had the steak cooked to perfection. A big thank you from our group for a lovely evening. Ver carta

Arrived as 2 families 10 total and 3 dogs. Sat in beer garden and wanted to order food. Was told by manageress that as they were short staffed they were only serving food to the decking area. This was not big enough to seat all of us together and it wasn't good for dogs either. The refusal to serve us at a table on the grass was farcical and so we walked out- how can businesses turn good business away!!

Overall a very nice experience. Service was good and well paced. Had a lovely piece of fish with a very nice salad, although it was a little wet. I wanted a different dish but the sauce contained mushrooms (which I didn’t want) but was told they couldn’t change the sauce. This slightly concerned me as it should have been possible. The real question is would I return? Yes for the salad or fish and chips which looked good.

I do not like sticky tables. The staff offered to clean ours, but it wouldn't have made a difference. They did not offer to move us to another table. Table 12 urgently needs repair or replacement, it's in bad condition! The food quality, once excellent, is now poor. Cold plates make it even worse. The leftovers of chips were disappointing, and the beer was not good either. I can no longer recommend this restaurant. I'm sorry. Ver carta
