The Toad - Carta

The meal was excellent and the staff was very attentive. It was a real pleasure dining at this restaurant!

As always, the roast dinner was exceptional and they were kind enough to reserve a window seat for me as requested.

We were just on a drive to the coast and felt hungry after looking at TripAdvisor noticed that the toad was nearby. So pleased that I booked. Food was great and well worth a visit. Must say the Apple and fig crumble was beautiful.

A lovely lunch in a nice atmosphere. The Toad was very quiet I think there was only one other table occupied while we were there. The food as good pub grub plenty of it and the staff were very friendly, helpful and chatty. Excellent service.

Lovely meal as usual, I had delicious crispy chicken wings to start, generous portion, then duo of fish and two of us shared a piece of cherry pie (with tropical fruit sorbet as they’d run out of raspberry A portion of squid with side salad and chips for a main course didn’t arrive with the other mains and the chips had to be asked for twice. A refill of our jug of water didn’t come at all. It was, however, a busy Saturday night, the staff were friendly and pleasant and we’ll certainly return Ver carta
