Here was delicious food, great value for money and delightful service. It felt such a comfortable environment to be in.

The coffee and service at this restaurant were excellent. I believe it was the owner who also served us, providing a very friendly and attentive experience. The presence of plants added a nice ambiance to the restaurant.

This charming independent coffee shop is a great place to stop by. When he's not busy serving his amazing coffee blends, Laurence can be seen sitting in the window, researching recipes for delicious savory treats. I highly recommend checking out The Higgler.

Visited for coffee and lunch. The choice of teas and coffees is amazing. We had lunch, which was very tasty and beautifully presented. A friendly welcome and even two biscuits for our dog, which she was delighted with. I would give this shop six stars if I could.

After reading reviews we decided to stop here for coffee while in Axminster. It didn’t disappoint. The coffee is delicious and the staff very helpful. We also bought some cake to take away which we thoroughly enjoyed later. It’s a bit out of the way, but well worth finding.

This was a delightful spot to enjoy a nice morning coffee and catch up with my friends, both of whom are coffee enthusiasts. When we arrived at around 11:30, the cafe was calm but quickly filled up with locals socializing, which I took as a positive sign. The atmosphere of the place was charming and relaxed. The staff were attentive and polite. While I had hoped to see a selection of coffee blends on the menu, the house blend that we tried was delicious and made for a smooth flat white. I've sat in a couple of times recently an stayed for a short while and I have never been made to feel pressured on that I should leave after I have finished my coffee lunch. Very generous portion sizes always leaving me full with fresh ingredients delivered whilst I was there! Quick to be seated and attended to and an excellent range of food to suit all dietary requirements and preferences. The owner himself is very knowledgeable about coffee with a large selection of teas and coffees to try slowly making my way through the list! I went in to the Higgler for a bite to eat,after a long day of wandering Axminster on Thursday, and was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional food, drinks and also the service. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile and welcomed by a very friendly teenage girl, with the loveliest flower earrings,who was very attentive and informative about my queries. The same girl, presumably,also made my coffee and halloumi bagel,which were both delicious and well cooked.
