Lovely local pub with nice food(excellent Sunday roast and pudding)and friendly staff. Dogs in the pub are super lovely and gentle too!! It has good sized parking space.

We stayed at the Wheel overnight whilst at a local event. We can't fault any aspect of it! Amazing place! We had pre-booked a space for our small van camper and we turned up to a reserved space, they offered us electric too if needed, we had access to the toilets overnight that were cleaned before the pub shut so they were immaculate. The staff were so friendly, we had a tab at the bar for our drinks and food, with the prices surprisingly cheap. The food we ordered was good, good portion size, and very quick arriving. There was a great atmosphere in the pub (the Rugby WC was on) but the pub was quiet when we went to bed. We thought this pub was faultless, full starts on everything from us. T...

The Spencers Arms is a fantastic retreat for wet and cold walkers. A group of friends and I found ourselves caught in torrential rain during a country walk from Saunderton to High Wycombe yesterday. After being turned away from Hughenden Manor due to being fully booked, we made our way to Downley Common where we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and sympathetic landlord. Despite being fully booked, he made room for us to enjoy a pint, cup of hot tea, a delicious hot roast dinner, and a cozy place to sit and warm up. We are incredibly grateful to Mr. Fuller and his staff for their patience and creativity in accommodating us and our muddy boots and dripping raincoats. The Spencers Arms is a... Ver carta
