"we returned here on the 19th january. we enjoyed their steak and kidney pudding, sweet potatoes, plucked and brokkoli and their pork shoulder plate with fries, coleslaw, boston bohnen and texas toast. everything excellent."

"We’re seated and served quickly. Drinks were lovely (Virgin Mojito and a Pina Colada). “Specials” was mentioned and we were told to use a QR code to access the menu. Another waitress came over about 10 minutes later and we asked for a reminder of...the specials. Totally different to what we were told the first time. We opted for a shared platter to start, followed by fajitas (me) and enchiladas (my partner). Steak was very tender, overall taste was very good. Didn’t have a dessert as we were too full. Check ups were frequent to make sure all was well. Overall ambience was nice. Felt intimate though it was packed. However. The bill… that was more than excessive. It worked out at £25 per head minus the drinks. £25 each for a starter and main. (Whole bill was £81, but the cocktails were £8 each plus a beer). It’s nice, but something I couldn’t afford regularly."

"We had a table booked for lunch with friends on a Sunday. The table was booked at 12.30pm and my friends were there at that time, we were a bit late because we have a 7 month old baby and kids can be unpredictable, however we arrived at 12.45pm. On arrival we were informed that they would need that table free at 14.30 and we must order food right away. So we did. We were waiting for our food for over 40 good minutes, one family of 7 who arrived after us and ordered after us was served promptly while we were waiting for our food. Apart of that, I 've been asked to move my baby pushchair so the people from the table next to us could have more room, fair enough, so I 've asked for a high chair so I could sit my baby, and also to warm up my baby food, the waitress said yes to both but never came back with the chair or to check if the baby food were sorted. When we finished our meal, which wasn 't to bad, but not impressed with, we were surprised with the bill and with we need this tablet ASAP . This was the cherry on the top of the cake, we were waiting for the menu so we could ask for deserts and coffee but apparently they were in a rush to rudely ask us out! This is not the way that you want to treat your costumers, mainly when you have free tablets around!!! I 'm chocked still whith all that happened and I 'm not coming back here for sure!!!"

"Normally love this restaurant but went last week for one of their “ banquet “ meals and were extremely disappointed. The menu was very limited compared to the normal menu, and the portions were small. We asked for 1 extra starter when we had finished ours, and that was fine with them. We then ordered the duck and pancakes which came very small. When finished, we asked for another portion. They were not pleased but it turned up, equally as small.a portion, but very tasty. For main course we ordered three dishes , a half portion of noodles and some rice. They said we had ordered a lot of food and would be charged full menu prices if we left any, which we already had been told. At the Parasol restaurant the attitude is completely different. They actually invite you to have more, and it comes with a smile. Chiba Thai, you let yourselves down this time."

"I have had such a lovely day hanging out at R&R today. I had to do some business meetings online whilst I waited for my daughter. I had a wonderful bowl of porridge for breakfast with beautiful blueberries and banana. And a delicious salad for lunch with falafel and homous. Had a lovely table and the cafe was warm and welcoming. There is Wi-Fi, plenty of plugs and it’s fairly quite so you can manage a Teams call. So much better than the faceless chain cafe’s which surround it! I will definitely be back!"
