Cute pub with authentic Thai cuisine and a real fireplace which adds to the charm. The price is reasonable, the owner and the staff are great.

I’ve been coming here for the last ten years: the food remains excellent authentic Thai food for a very good price, with service to match. This is the heart of the village with a great atmosphere. Cannot recommend enough.

Excellent food, service and quaint setting. Really really good. We had the mixed starter which gave a variety of tastes to try. We then had pad Thai, duck red curry and the sweet and sour chicken. All was very fresh and delicious. Well worth a trip.

We have been before so knew the food was good. Again we were blown away with the quality. We had the larger lunch meal deal. An amazing two courses plus coffee for just £35 for the pair of us. Wonderful food and fantastic value. Very much appreciated and we’ll be back :

The best food I have had out for ages, fed up of mediocre meals for a lot of money, here you get the complete opposite . Stunning food , tasty and fresh for a reasonable price especially like us you go at lunch time . . Under £14 for a two course meal or £35 for a feast for 2 . We nearly didn’t go in, as it looked abit shabby from the outside, thought it was closed down but saw a light on that led to a warm welcome , glowing real fire and excellent food and service .

My daughter and family live in Bristol and my wife and I in Cockfosters. We wanted to meet roughly half way and my son researched the web and suggested we try the White Horse. We are so glad that we did as we enjoyed one of the tastiest, most satisfying, meals eaten anywhere, with quite deliciously authentic Thai flavour and presentation (the impressive art of carving carrots into the shape of roses! . The owner, his family, and staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Wholeheartedly recommended.

Another wonderful authentic Thai meal at this cosy pub restaurant. Delicious tempura prawns and salt and pepper squid to begin, served with dips and salad garnish. Then on to tasty stir fries with coconut rice. Usually go for massaman or panang but loved this crisp freshly cooked stir fry for a change. Incredibly well priced , staff are lovely, family owned and there is a genuine warm welcome. Timothy Taylor real ale, excellent wine selection and the best log fire you will find anywhere . Can’t rate it highly enough.

This is our favourite “ go to” restaurant for so many reasons. Food is fresh and cooked to order, tasty and delicious. Atmosphere is quiet, tranquil and cosy and service first class. In winter the huge log burner adds a really homely touch. The prices are so reasonable, food and drinks all fairly priced. Beautifully clean and tables nicely spaced out. Fresh stir fries, massaman, panang, lots of thai seafood and of course red and green Thai curries. The Pad Thai is outstanding . Always go for tempura prawns or salt and pepper squid for starters. Staff are always happy, friendly , and welcoming. Love this place ! Cannot fault it. Oh yes, plenty of parking too

A group of seven of us turned up for lunch. The welcome was warm, friendly and genuine. A couple of tables were swiftly moved together so that we could all sit as one group. I asked if I might have some Tom Kha Gai soup (which was not on the lunch menu! since I love this particular dish. The excellent staff were unfazed by this request and said of course I could have it! When I described this soup to my friends, some of them wanted to try it too. The food arrived very promptly (even the off-menu Tom Kha Gai and it was all beautifully presented and tasted absolutely delicious. It was also very reasonably priced. All in all, a really good experience and I would recommend this pub to everyone!
